No, from what I’ve heard the numbers were good. They even refurbished the entire show last February, with new sets, new costumes, new cast and everything. They were ready to keep on going. This is all so sad. 

Disney said it was the least money making of the three (Lion King and Aladdin), so thats why they chose to close.

I follow Broadway a lot. This cannot be good news for a lot of shows. Frozen was doing fairly well financially. Even if it wasn't Best Musical material. I expect many other shows to follow suit. This is so sad for all the workers. 

I can see Moulin Rouge closing as well. A few of my friends that went to see it, didnt like it.

Yea, that show is definitely more about the visuals and grandeur. 

As far as shows that'll close I'm assuming they'll be the ones with high running costs. But with rumors saying that Broadway not reopening until next year, I don't know how they'll be able to pay the actors and workers. I don't even know where they'll find work in the mean time.
