Hexxx 2,244
If she would have stayed with Interscope the music wouldn't sound "AB" and it wouldn't have seen the light of day. Notice that in 2012 Azealia was releasing music left and right. Why did she stop when she got signed? Her friend Adam even said how harsh they were on her music Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
inuborg 4,136
The whole, I love her music, hate her attitude, claim baffles the **** out of me. 1st of all, if I truly hated someone, I wouldn't want to hear what they wanted to say in their music 2nd, um a lot of her music personifies her rude b---h, relentless attitude, FUTF, 212, CC, YR, etc. I root for you. I love you. You, you, you, you.

blacklistedd 599
Her beefs did little to hinder her grind, releasing critically acclaimed bodies of work and touring in front on thousands of people. But now there is little she could do without her album and Interscope refuses because it's anti commercial. Not because of the beefs..... And ps It took MIA a year to interscope to release her last album....P.s.s. When Azealia was more positive on twitter for like 8 months Interscope still didn't want to release her stuff. Because Azealia already did her damage. It was too little too late. They kept pushing back her record and you're saying her public behavior didnt hinder her grind lol It was of course apart of it. Yes her small body of work was generally well received and shes performed in front of people over the years (you're decorating her success a little bit imo) but I don't think it was so incredibly new and dynamic enough for it to completely overshadow how she was literally making herself be perceived by people. Like yes theres the music and thats important, but the kind of artist that she is is a full package and she hindered herself being that full package imo. You say it took M.I.A. a year to release her last album, but she released it. She does her and gets her point of view across. She struggles and she fights but shes strong and she works it. She manipulates situations and says what she wants to say. Azealia didnt seem to have that strength. Shes moving forward though, we'll see what she does. If she would have stayed with Interscope the music wouldn't sound "AB" and it wouldn't have seen the light of day. Notice that in 2012 Azealia was releasing music left and right. They didn't not release BWET because of her "behavior" I've said that like 3 times already and lemme see you perform a critically set in front of 70,000 people off of a mixtape No, MIA waited around until Interscope felt like releasing her album, lol don't act like it was some major feat. I root for you. I love you. You, you, you, you.
inuborg 4,136
I mean she said, in her breakout single "ima ruin you kunt" like who were they expecting? Mother Teresa? I root for you. I love you. You, you, you, you.

Hold up though, you say her behavior hasn't hindered her grind. Then I see people claiming she kept acting out on twitter in hopes that she'd finally get dropped. Plot holes. If her behavior on twitter didn't matter to the label than it wouldn't assist her in moving forward from the label. When these artists act out stupid it affects their management and theyre standing where they work. Thats just how it is. Especially considering how integral an artists social media presence is. Im not saying its the factor then, im just saying it is one. I dont think thats arguable. And im not that into M.I.A. but I can acknowledge that shes overcome some serious obstacles to get her point of view across to a lot of people. Even if she did wait around for her album to finally get released (allegedly), I don't think thats any less of a "great feat" than Azealia throwing tantrums to get dropped and making herself look like an angry fool. COLONiCPRiNXESS 1
He cursed out a MOD????? :rip: I didn't actually, he told me to tone my language down and I didn't notice it was a mod and I thought it was some random member, so I said "Ummmm, no" or something like that.
