It doesn’t sound 90s AT ALL.

If you wanna hear songs inspired by 90s house music, listen to:

Walking on Air (Katy Perry, 2013)

Hideaway (Kiesza, 2014)

Alejandro (Lady Gaga, 2010)

Sorry girlies but Stupid Love sounds NOTHING like what you 90s babies are trying to claim.

Firstly I was talking about the remix and secondly educate yourself hunny. The remix sounds legit like it was released 30 years ago to the clubs.

I mean compare that SL remix to this house song for example and you'll see that the producers did AMAZING job bringing the 90's house feeling to this remix.

(skip to 10:10 to get the idea)

Sorry I didn't read the entire thread if this question has been answered: but do we know if this is going to be an extra track on any of the editions before I purchase it?  Was going to stream it for the time being.

The Stupid Love Remix doesn't sound 90s, its more 2010's Eurodance club music :vegas: but the actual song is 90s house with 80s and disco influences in there. It is 90s house predominantly

It's the best remix she chose for an album so far! Love love it! Honey Dijon and The Black Madonna are jamming right now :tony:

Perhaps and unpopular opinion but I’ve never thought Bloodpop was an exceptionally talented writer or producer :madge:

Sounds lazy and dated. Can't believe it's going to be on the deluxe album but i guess she just needed an extra track. That's what you call a filler.

At least 3 websites/magazines (including people who heard some songs from the album) said that, not my fault you were sleeping and decided to wake up just to call "Alejandro" a house inspired tune :billie::toofunny:

And please tell me which relevant person besides your cousin on twitter said Alejandro was house? I'm genuinely curious!

"Billboard described "Alejandro" as a synth-pop song with a "stomping Euro-pop beat".[5][6] The song is influenced by ABBA and Ace of Base,[6][7] the latter being prominent in the beats of the song, the vocals, and the melody. The words are slurred in Gaga's vocal delivery while the composition consists of an uplifting melody."

"The lyrics talk about Gaga defending herself against a group of Latin men and has a number of ABBA allusions, including a reference to their 1976 song "Fernando", which Gaga cited as one of her influences."

Also, I never said I was a 90s house expert myself, but from what I've seen your def aren't either :lmao:

oh and p.s : 90s pop (ace of base) is nothing like 90s house

I was a DJ from 2007-2010 while I was studying at uni. I can tell the difference between disco, techno, house, eurodance, Italo house, Balearic house etc. Done many gigs in my time.

The fact that you cite Billboard - of all people - as your dance music experts is such a kii. No-one who is serious about dance gives a finger fuq what Billboard says about anything.

Back on topic, this new remix sounds like very late 90s/early 2000s (1998-2004) progressive house mixed with French house and aspects of early 2010s synthwave.

Okay, child?

As I said above, calling it 90s is so inaccurate: it shows a diverse collage of late 90s/early 2000s prog house infused with French house of the same era, as well as the lost genre of synthwave from circa 2008-2011.

Synthwave itself is heavily influenced by classic 80s video arcade game noises and sci-fi movie soundtracks.

So it’s a very eclectic sound.
