Everyone knows Katy for sure, but her music doesn’t garner as much interest. Just look at how she announced her pregnancy with NWW and there was a lot of buzz over the pregnancy but the song didn’t even chart. If it had been 2013 that song would have at least been top 10 for sure. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to point out that an artist isn’t as successful as they used to be. Every one of them reaches that spot in their career. And they have to work harder as time goes on. And they can all repeak. Gaga did it, Madonna did it multiple times, Britney did it, Katy can do it for sure. But at the moment she obviously doesn’t have the interest of the general audience. It was never supposed to be a chart topping success, and its why it never got any promotion. She announced her pregnancy, and people were hyped about that. THEN a day later she announces that she is dropping an album in the summer, and garners hype for that.
