We are in the 5th month of the new decade... :awkney:  Katy is still current, she isn't  "forgotten" :awkney:   She's a main popgirl whether you like it or not

facts are facts

I mean it’s not like she was main the last few years of the 2010s either but I was being generous :selena:

Yes she was. Last year saw her score a top 20 hit with very little promotion :vegas:  Never Really Over is iconic and still gets played to this day.

Katy Perry is a main popgirl. She's not like Kesha where her songs don't even chart.

I actually didn’t realize it went that high :omg: I was just thinking of pop culture in general. You don’t really hear people talk about her anymore outside of stan world.

She's pretty much everywhere, all my mates still talk about her. She's still huge in pop culture, that light has not been diminished yet. Literally two days ago my friend text me asking if I was excited for the new Katy single... and he isn't even a KP fan :vegas:

She is still huge in pop culture, and you cannot deny that.

Katy Perry's last two singles, both of which received decent promotion and had music videos, failed to chart.

Imagine if someone said this about Gaga in 2014 :air:  y'all are priceless, Katy is still relevant and current no matter how much you try to dismiss it

Craig he’s actually cataloguing her as a respected icon, I’d say it’s even better than being considered a current main pop girl. It’s very well known that Katy is past her imperial phase, her latest releases are proof of that. And it’s ok, it happens to every artist. And she can still repeak like Gaga recently did.

Harleys in Hawaii bearly received promotion, and charted. Never Worn White received no promotion, wasn't sent to radio or anything like that, because it was a cute song to announce she was pregnant. Never Worn White was never meant to be a chart success.

All the singles she released in 2019 were cute buzz singles, they were never promoted THAT heavily compared to say Roar or Chained To The Rhythm.

That’s because your friend knows you stan her :poot:

Genuinely the last time I heard of her outside of stan Twitter/forums was when she dropped chained to the rhythm and then she kinda fizzled out of relevance. But maybe it’s different in your country

Yes, but literally every pop girl has been able to get their droplets to chart with the same or less promotion :billie:

False. NWW and HIH only got MV's but there was literally little to no promo for them and they were released on a weekday

Spoiler

Btw not saying she's a main pop girl but let's get facts straight, please :green:
