My mum is classed as high risk, she hasn't left her home in almost 2 months. And even when rules start to relax I still won't be able to go and see her nor will she be able to leave the house because if she was to get coronavirus it would kill her. The more people continue to break lockdown rules because they can't cope with being told what to do and acting out like petulant little children the longer this will go on for all of us.

So if you wanna say getting angry at people going out is over the top then you're entitled to your shitty opinion but just think before you speak because for some people this whole situation is very hard.

the best solution (tho its too late now because the majority of the public is scared to go outside rn) would've been to allow the virus to circulate, while funding to hospitals, vaccines, and testing was increased in Jan/Feb. Transforming hotels into temporary hospitals and quarantine locations, and gathering up all and any scientists and giving them a crash course on how to treat covid-19 patients. 98% of those infected would've recovered themselves, and that 2% could easily be taken care of through increased resources/personnel. The virus would've peaked in mid March, and numbers would've been close to zero 5 weeks after the peak (as we saw with Spanish Flu). There would've been no "deadly second wave" in the fall as the population would've achieved herd immunity, and only a small uptick in cases would be noticed.

I live in Cornwall which is a renowned holiday spot in the U.K that relies on tourism and it has the lowest (if not one of the lowest) deaths and infection rate in the U.K (less than 90) and currently hasn’t had a hospital admitted fatality in 6 days. Unfortunately in the next few weeks people will interpret Boris’ message as the lockdown being eased and will take the opportunity to come flocking down here for “day trips”. 
Our county has only 1 (yes 1) hospital and won’t be able cope. I really hope people aren’t selfish and consider coming down (it helps everything is closed) but I have little faith considering people have treated our rather relaxed lockdown as a holiday.

Herd immunity can only be achieved by infecting ~60-70% of the population, which means hundreds of thousands of deaths are needed. Herd immunity should never be a goal without a vaccine, only a consequence.

Yeah. Let’s let hundreds of millions die in an economic collapse instead so we can stay shut down forever. That’s a better idea

You can absolutely be pretty damn safe getting a haircut if your stylist washes hands thoroughly before, wears a mask (u should too when not getting trimmed right around ears) and u both cut out any chit chat.  It’s all about taking precautions.  I think  the possibility of unclean food preparation for take-out is MUCH more dangerous actually.

I am a Cabin Crew and I am not expecting to be flying before July. I am based in Edinburgh but I am not from here. What's really shocking as well is that people just want to go on holidays. I don't stop seeing comments on Facebook everyday about brits complaining about how hard they have worked and that they deserve their beloved holidays. C'mon... a bit of common sense. Everyone wants to go on holidays but now it is not the time. It's just my opinion, I know life needs to keep going and talking about my profession it's better for me to have people flying so I keep my job but... I don't know. This virus got crazy.
