My husband is a professor for mathematics, algebraic-geometer, he's working on torsos and fundamental groups scheme, he's last paper was accepted for Duke I know a few Fields Medal mathematicians personally. So don't discredit me either. I know what everybody knows from the media, sure, not gonna lie about that and from what it looks like, his project didn't make any success. Wow! Sounds interesting! It only means poverty for those who already ARE in poverty. The fear of poverty is a very middle class thing, and it is through that fear that rich capitalists - a.k.a. the boots you're licking - can control you. America doesn't have a health system (for the people who cannot afford the exorbitant costs) and people die because of completely preventable conditions due to that, so I wouldn't say much on this talking point if I were you. They can kindly look at the place where regular people who don't earn BILLIONS are expected to have, let's say, money enough for three months out of work? So when the problem is U.S. the world is suddenly linked and we all should care, huh? Apparently destabilizing a whole ass region - Middle East - and waging war, meddling in elections and hiring death squads do not harm the rest of the oh-so-linked world? Lmao, just because you are not in a risked group - or you do not care - does not mean it is not important. I'm out, I don't have the energy to talk to delusional petit bourgeois anymore today What a messy reply. Europeans don’t seem to be following those guidelines very well as their seem to have been riots in Italy Germany and France. Complacency is in many Europeans blood since you lot have an affinity to worship government. It doesn’t seem to be helping those considering how many parts of Europe are doing worse with management of the virus when compared to the United States (particularly per capita). And speaking of viral management those greedy hospitals have been able to provide care for all of our patients and there was no shortage of ventilators whereas parts of Europe didn’t seem to fare well and many of the socialized hospital systems failed (Italy and Spain for example). No idea what you mean that it only means poverty for those who were impoverished as well to do middle class families have lost their jobs and have had to rely on food lines to feed their children and the owners of profitable small businesses have likely had to shut their businesses down while now drowning in debt that has been accrued due to unforeseen costs thrown at them because of the uniform lockdowns as for those pesky billionaires — most of them don’t have a billion in their accounts. Much of that wealth is in assists they own or have invested in but that money isn’t liquid or accessible ... not that I’d expect you to know that at all and yes the United States is tethered to all world economies. Imports and exports. Our trade with Canada is a big part of their GDP. The us petrodollar is a world reserve etc .. an economic collapse means disaster for our allies. Like with most cases we tend to provide our services to undeserving critical allies but once the milk is no longer available from the American teet you lot throw a tantrum. And let’s not pretend geopolitics in the Middle East solely benefited the United States - about every nation benefited from our presence there. we can absolutely keep the most at risk groups isolated but prolonged economic murder means eventually those people begin to lose out — I don’t know if you know this but if the economic situation worsens those people’s social securities pensions and retire funds dry out meaning they can’t sustain themselves .. if we resume economic activity it means we can sustain that income for them and generate revenue to throw at them via stimulus. If you choose to remain isolated that’s on you but that shouldn’t mean we’re all forced to be isolated from a virus with a similar CFR to the 1957 influenza that saw absolutely no quarantines or general panic and killed about 200,000 Americans. I love talking to people so clearly ignorant of how life actually works and feel so elite spewing literal schiesse from their mouths. Something tells me you don’t work ... How much y’all wanna bet the members defending him are the same ones against Medicare for all, raising the minimum wage, etc? How much y’all wanna bet his defenders also never had to work in terrible work conditions themselves so they can’t be bothered to give a fuk about his employees? Adakam 2
If he can afford to move everything somewhere else, and rehire every spot on a new state, he can afford to keep his current employees safe for a while. If the economic situation was really hurting him then he would be at risk of going bankrupt or something, moving it somewhere else means he is just a billionare complaining that he will make less billions this year. SMILE2NE1 3,566
People on this thread equating starting up the factory again to not caring about workers are plain stupid. California has given the green light for manufacturing to open up while Tesla has created a work safely playbook more detailed than anything the government can provide taking all the learnings of how they restarted their Shanghai location. Also, the term billionaire defender is just the ultimate projection of one's own self pity masqueraded as being fake woke. Sorry, it's not woke to hate on someone that is successful just because they worked smarter than you and probably harder then you. Entrepreneurs work hard and are paid in relation to how much they allow their company and stakeholders to succeed. Unskilled workers that think they are on the short end of the stick, well then go and be an entrepreneur. You'll soon realise not anyone can do it and people are rewarded accordingly. And speaking of viral management those greedy hospitals have been able to provide care for all of our patients and there was no shortage of ventilators whereas parts of Europe didn’t seem to fare well and many of the socialized hospital systems failed (Italy and Spain for example). Considering most European countries have higher life expectancy - you can check - and a considerably higher ratio of people at risk (e.g. old people) is this really a surprise, though? The U.S. economy - irregardless of where the money comes from - is ten times the size of most of these countries, and you have one of the - if not THE - MOST expensive hospitals in the world, it is obvious that those hospitals would have more funds, and therefore, more equipment. That does not mean that you have a good health system. Your system might - might - work in a crisis like this, but that doesn't mean that people don't die every single day from preventable diseases and conditions. It doesn't mean that one single hospital stay may mean going bankrupt for many families. 58 minutes ago, MissKombucha said: No idea what you mean that it only means poverty for those who were impoverished as well to do middle class families have lost their jobs and have had to rely on food lines to feed their children and the owners of profitable small businesses have likely had to shut their businesses down while now drowning in debt that has been accrued due to unforeseen costs thrown at them because of the uniform lockdowns Most of that is your government's fault for not providing enough of that few trillions worth of an economic package to those who actually need it. If the big corporations get millions and billions, and small companies and people get like a penny of it, they obviously will suffer. The fact that your whole economy is based on providing to rich so it can "trickle down" somehow is the bigger problem. pandemic is only the agent that shows the system doesn't work in this case. 1 hour ago, MissKombucha said: as for those pesky billionaires — most of them don’t have a billion in their accounts. Like with most cases we tend to provide our services to undeserving critical allies but once the milk is no longer available from the American teet you lot throw a tantrum. again, you are acting as if the rest of the world does not have any big economies and everything depends on the U.S. Of course an economic collapse would affect literally every place on earth, but you are exaggerating the longevity of its effects. 1 hour ago, MissKombucha said: And let’s not pretend geopolitics in the Middle East solely benefited the United States - about every nation benefited from our presence there. It is funny how you can say this with a straight face, but then again, it is not your house that's being unnecessarily drone-bombed, is it? 1 hour ago, MissKombucha said: we can absolutely keep the most at risk groups isolated but prolonged economic murder means eventually those people begin to lose out — I don’t know if you know this but if the economic situation worsens those people’s social securities pensions and retire funds dry out meaning they can’t sustain themselves .. if we resume economic activity it means we can sustain that income for them and generate revenue to throw at them via stimulus.
