and a lot of tracks from ARTPOP were created by producers/Djs long before ARTPOP and Gaga basically bought them and just sang her own words over them 

And I also have mixed feelings about all of that, too. I guess same with TIHTY, in that she had writing involvement, but wasn't the primary writer of said song.

In the end, they're all fine songs, which I guess is what matters.

As you can see on the credits page, he is listed under songwriters, not producers. This song was produced by BloodPop and T.

The only songs she isn't the lead writer are Til It Happens To You, Perfect Illusion and Come to Mama. I feel like I'm missing one.

Gaga also from my point of view downplays her own involvement in any project. Like how she gave almost all of the credit from a Star is born to Bradley Cooper.

Well she stopped being as much involved as before on production since ARTPOP or Joanne I think? She still owns writing credits and has creative control over most if not all I guess. I always thought she let the producers do their thing instead of being so 'artistic' almost all the time if you know what I mean.

Good point. That said, I always viewed the notion of change from TF to TFM, where her taking the reins as co-producer began, as a natural progression. I think I'm curious, and a little sad, as to why that changed now.

I'm hoping that's not reflective of the rest of the album.

Like I've mentioned, I'm asking this as somebody who has looked up to Gaga as a producer. This doesn't change my opinion on whether or not her songs or good, or valid- just within the realm of production.

I think you are correct, regarding original released songs.

This is the first time since TF where Gaga isn't involved in the production for a song and people are already calling her lazy

I think it was a personal choice, she might want to let go a little of her "control" so that she can shake things up. Every project doesn't have to be Gaga from start to finish, and it never has been. She's making art with collaborators, she doesn't need to stamp everything with her name for it to be great.
