Black holes are very intriguing phenomena and there are still a lot of unanswered questions about them that could possibly remain unanswered. But some things can be inferred using the knowledge we already have of their nature. According to Professor Richard Massey: "Falling through an event horizon is literally passing beyond the veil — once someone falls past it, nobody could ever send a message back," he said. "They'd be ripped to pieces by the enormous gravity, so I doubt anyone falling through would get anywhere." According to Massey, tidal forces would reduce your body into strands of atoms (or 'spaghettification', as it is also known) and the object would eventually end up crushed at the singularity. U wouldn't see them past the event horizon. In fact as the theory goes because of time dilation... They would appear to take an eternity to cross it as they came close to it. Isn't it insane just to think about the things we don't even know about? 1000 light years is really nothing in the grand scheme of things, so that might seem extremely far from us but in the universe scale it's absolutely nothing! The universe is so fascinating omg I'm no physicist or expert but you would think if matter was sent elsewhere then how it's it that blackholes keep gaining mass???
