Yes, she postponed her album because she wants to focus on philanthropy during this time, not her album. She's made it very clear. Not sure why anyone is surprised by this at this point.

Y’all need a reality check. This isn’t about you or the music, this is about students that are going into the world that isn’t ready for them. If this is aimed towards college, which it seems like it is, we are graduating into a world where there aren’t any entry level jobs, there’s a pandemic, and we can’t do anything about it. As a member of the class of 2020, have some perspective and understand that music doesn’t matter right now.

On one hand, I do think that there are people who are going overboard when it comes to venting their frustrations with the album. There's no reason to say that she deserves to have her album leaked, or to say that you're "****ing done and over" this era and that you "couldn't care less". Well, obviously you do care, cause you're on this forum.

That said, these are annoying times. She announced the album, released the cover art, released the tracklist, released the lead single, announced the tour, had pre-orders up for the album, etc, etc. If she just announced the era without doing any of that, then I think more people would be okay with it.

The delay will not happen for long, I'm sure of that. Personally, I can see why they delayed the album (especially considering all the work Gaga put into the One World concert and the fact that she helped raise $128mm for COVID-19 relief), but they're still keeping a summer release. Releasing in the fall or winter doesn't make sense at this point because things won't get better then either. Realistically, this whole pandemic might not fully be gone until next year, and that's being optimistic. 

Several insiders have said something new is coming out this month. At this point, I'd just be okay with a promo single, but Blade specifically said that May is when Chromatica's coming out. 

I agree, although the only thing that makes me mad is the fact that the same people you see venting their frustrations with the album on this forum will be the same people that 2-3 weeks after the album release will be 24/7 on this forum making threads like "where are the performances?" "why isn't she walking in NYC streets in Versace like she did last year?" "Gaga doesn't care anymore", "I'm done with her",  "I'm bored" , etc etc. 

I don't want "just an album" from gaga, I want the full thing. Things in Europe are set to start going back to normal around June/July and even if promo in the US isn't going to happen anytime soon she can still travel around Europe and other countries around the World. You can forget the tour this year, but that doesn't mean she can't do other stuff, except right now she can't do anything, not before July at least.

I just want people to be a little more patient, like you said corona isn't going anywhere and countries will need to adapt and learn how to cope with it and since we can't stay on lockdown forever most companies will have to find ways to move on so the economy doesn't collapse.  THAT is being discussed rn and in most countries this is set to happen during summer. Most countries are easing lockdown restrictions by the end of may.

Chromatica deserves more than meeting the same fate albums like future nostalgia (which  had a lot of buzz and promo since January) did.

I am happy that she is participating in events at the moment and being invited to do this is probably important to her.  She will release new music eventually and do more live shows. Her team, record label, agent, etc are all in the same situation as millions of others who are being forced to rework everything. It's going to take some time. Meanwhile, read The House of Gucci and get pumped about her new acting role

I understand, but realistically, we're not going to get the "full thing" anymore. Those plans are done.

Unless she potentially wants to wait 2 years to do this era the way she originally envisioned it, those plans aren't happning. What I would prefer is that she do more online promo, like many artists are doing. Seeing her walk around and do in-person promo would be cool, especially if it's a more global effort, but I just don't think she's going to do that.

I don't agree and clearly they didn't either. I feel sorry for fans that do agree, though, to a CERTAIN LEVEL.

Of course music comes first, but like come on, it's Gaga we're talking about here, which most of us love also as much for all the rest that comes with her music and is an extension of it.

So music is the most important, ok, but whether the music had been released back then, any day now or in months time, we'll get it anyway after all, that's a certainty. Whereas if the album had been released back then, we wouldn't have gotten the promo, performances, era ... we'll get now (let's hope they'll do a great job).

To put it simple, for most people, they want A and B. We'll get A either way, by having waited/waiting, we'll get (a better) B as well.
