I'm just saying that the design is boring and undetailed. Both stages that you shared show nicer catwalks that have a better shape and have stuff like LED and are better lit etc

Regardless if you like it or not, it was something no one was doing at the time. It isn't boring because it isn't translucent, it's boring because you're literally comparing it to the most intrinsicate tour runway ever.

I looked at Admin’s posts again about song lengths and it’s the following:

SFA - only song over 4 mins

Two songs are longer than 3:13

SL is 3:13 (4th longest track)

FW is 3:11

Alice is 2:57

Sour Candy - shortest track on album

A little off topic, but touching on the prior discussion a little bit

I honestly don't think it's fair to compare BTWB and JWT. They're both amazing in their own rights and were both very different in their entertainment goals

BTWBT was bigger and had a properly fleshed out storyline, better concept execution, better costumes and wigs, better fan interaction and most importantly that stage! It was and still is her best stage design probably. BTWB was designed for stadiums and massive crowds

JWT on the other hand, was designed for arenas. For smaller, intimate settings. The moving mechanical tetris stage with its configurations, the lightning pods with projection displays, the piano with the multicolor laser lights, her traversing the arena with her entourage while KILLING the vocals, her spontaneous vocal note changes, all these made it a highlight for me tbh. It was designed more for fans to have an intimate experience about a personal album than for them to lose their shït in a big ass dance party celebration. And I think it accomplished that very well

The way the arenas would look – visually stunning

When I saw these pictures the first time, I was in complete awe of how much she was able to accomplish visually and light up the whole arena with colors for a show as tight and small as this. The smaller size definitely helped it. But the moment she took it to stadiums, it lost its magic. That's where BTWB shines

It's just a fücking huge party and a celebration of all her songs and letting you, yourself, as a fan feel liberated and let go of everything and embrace all your imperfections in all their glory

The point being, both tours have their flaws and high points, but JWT is incredible for an arena tour. It gets a lot of undeserved hatred from the fanbase even though it serves its purpose well: to make you feel closer to Gaga as a human instead of making you feel closer to yourself (BTWB)

 

OT: can't wait for Chromatica the album and the tour and everything that comes with it
