It does pertain because you're saying it's impossible for the instrumental to mostly done and the vocals to not be - there are a few demos of hers where the instrumental has almost the same exact mastering but there are different vocal takes used or in some cases vice versa. I agree it's a demo and it's likely both are not done, but we have zero way of knowing for sure what the extent of work done on either is - but people aren't off base entirely for speculating on it. Also yes, It's not only pop that does stem mastering. Pop just definitely has a higher ratio of artists that have their songs mastered that way since commercial use is much higher and more likely for their music. Also all the sources aren't wrong, but the process of stem mastering is just mastering multiple stereo mixes that normally build the final track - just rather than having to hear one overall mix to go by it's listening to each piece and working at the individual parts as you do it. Either way with Free Woman, It's pretty much guaranteed that it has gone through many more mixing and mastering since this demo was recorded though anyway.
