Demo. Final is apparently much shorter according to Admin. Vocals aren't really mastered fully on the demo as well - instrumental is mastered well enough though.

I don't understand what the **** is her team doing/thinking. It's so sad to see this promising era being messed up so badly by this incompetence.

I can't wait to hear "Free Woman" in HQ, the production sounds so good already.

What I'm gathering from this debate is that people are confusing the 80s esthetic of the video with the way the video was shot. Believe me, you can shoot things on iPhones without it looking like the 80s, and you can shoot things on professional movie cameras and make it seem like the 80s.

I don't know if that makes sense, but I encourage y'all to look up what people are doing with iPhones - someone like Steven Soderbergh is literally shooting his movies that way now. I'm not an Apple advocate or anything, but I'm just tired of people blaming the SL video esthetic on the way it was shot. It's just wrong.

I hope the vocals are different on the final version of FW because after the second chorus  and the end where she is shouting "Im a free womaaaan, im a free womaaaan, im a free wom ay ay aya n" is very screechy and sounds annoying lmao, it is kind of off putting in an annoying woman complaining kind of way

well, if the idea was what looked like a '90s TV show (and I think it is), they had two options:

- shoot it on film (expensive and more complicated).
- shoot it with a camera that offers good quality but a more "real", less glossy, detailed and filtered image.

surely a camera with a different lens would have offered more depth of vision and detail.

It remains to be seen whether the idea of the "campy 90s Look" came before the deal with Apple, or was the director's choice precisely because of the visual result that the medium could have offered.

No one is talking about the video aesthetic, if anything I brought up the fact that video would've looked better had it been shot using a different camera. The iPhone 11 Pro camera quality is good, no one is denying that, but when it comes to Lady Gaga music videos I think we're better off using actual film cameras.
