I am really trying to tell myself I won't listen to the album if/when it leaks, and that this will be the first Gaga album I listen to as it's released and not leaked but...:trollga: It's safe to assume, like most of her past albums, it'll leak probably 48-72 hours before that Friday. Do I have the control? Unlikely. Will I pretend like I do? Yes :selena:

I mean, if it leaks the week of, I'm listening to it :selena:

It's not going to change the fact that I'm going to stream the **** out of it on Friday anyways :selena:

The only reason I'm more okay with it leaking the week of as opposed to the week before (i.e. next week) is because at least the guilt of me listening to it isn't too heavy :selena:

Like, if it leaks on the 27th, I'll be like, "it's releasing tomorrow night anyway, so who cares?" :selena:

So I heard 25th is like something big on promo, and we aren't allowed to know, but:

'I now know this era won't be like a 1 week thing, it'll be massive' - quote from reliable insider

then my other friend on insta who has a friend in industry in LA, says he thinks its a pre listening party..  To me that isn't big promo, cause its like a Stan thing?

Sorry you guys can drag me if I'm serving 'my mums friends cousin' im just speculating and sharing :lmao:

The ultimate COLLAPSE if she releases a promo trailer/mini-film with a story arc along side the album

I'm excited for the house influenced tracks but I do wonder if you guys have latched on to that a bit? I'm not expecting it to be completely house sounding.

I know the paper mag author said he heard it and it was but I'm certain later on he tweeted that he heard 5 songs. Those of which where probably Stupid Love, Rain On Me, 911, Free Woman and Babylon from what the article said. We know 3 of which are somewhat house-ish and with stupid love being dancey, it's not a stretch to think the interviewer ran with this and assumed it's was pretty house influenced. I'm wondering if it might be more like how Joanne had like 3/4 very country sounding songs with a tiny bit of influence on other tracks, when it was overall a more guitar driven pop record with a bit of country and folk influences

I'm personally hoping it's consistent all-electronic dance music overall. There are lots of different styles of it so it could still be very diverse etc.

I really don't want any more folk, country or guitars. I want it to be an electronic landscape :worship2:

I think we take too seriously this supposed "lack of interest" in her own release. Maybe she really wants the music to speak for itself and it's trying to not hype it up too much considering everytime she hypes things we ended up being disappointed. Probably she's working hard right now planning different kinds of promo, videos etc to surprise us in the next weeks. It's just the silence before the storm. Call me optimistic but that's what I think :ally:

I actually think commercially it is a great idea that gaga leaves the promotion towards first weeks and post album release because of the short attention span people have.

it's more important to keep promoting the era after the album is out so it doesn't depend on first week alone and it ends up frontloaded. She has a good first week secured because of her fans + ROM hype (if it connects) so I think it's clever if she hypes up the record the week before it drops so people don't forget it and then keeps promoting after. The people who are going to listen to it first week are probably the superfans, the rest of the GP needs to be continuously reminded it exists after its out there so they can instantly listen/buy it. If the record is good enough so people hype it up on their own this strategy would work even better. Let's see what happens.

Yeah that's what I mean, I reckon there'll be some obvious house tracks but I think over all it'll just be a mostly dance pop record rather than the house album that some people are expecting

She would need to acknowledge the current dates aren't happening and for that she will wait until after first weeks sales.
