not the best mate. tbh I'm an art scholar and using red and green is kinda a big no no in the art and graphics world as a whole. The colours often cancel each other out. Dunno why they went for it tbh.

Also the most common form of colour blindness is being unable to distinguish between red and green, especially in men. So they probs should have stuck with black/white with just pink or green.

(btw not trying to boost myself up there or anything its just a pretty common thing you're taught in visual design).

**If you're gonna use red/pink and green, you've really gotta make one colour very dark and the other very pale for them to actually work

Well, in television, the transition between green and magenta is considered the strongest as it forced old televisions' three cathodes to change state. Don't mean to get too technical on this, but what I mean is I was taught green and magenta are a good choice if you want to make 2 colors clash and pop against one another

Green and pink are complementary colors, though. For them to cancel each other out, one would have to be layered over the other. This way they should provide a nice contrast. It's a bit of an obvious choice, if anything. I agree with the part on colorblindness.

As a graphic designer myself, i find this use of colors very original and interesting, i think it is exciting, we dont see this color combo often.... im glad she didnt go the safe rout with black and white in order to look minimalistic... i cant really think about any other album art that is on the same vibe, so i applaud the designer for that. in my experience its hard to come up with new ideas and make them look interesting and cool, and this works for me, its actually her  most visually appealing era.

Also the font, and the symbolism are such a plus, like i said, i think, making things "minimalistic" is an excuse when you really dont know how to give a personality to whatever youre doing.

He actually said the album was coming in June but it got moved to May even before Gaga announces it herself.

So yes, there are a thousand of reasons to believe in him.

And a million reasons to let him go :derpga:

Yeah, I agree. I'm actually more bothered by the specific hues of the colors than the colors itself (particularly the green one, eek).

I mean it's not bad! It's definitely got that fun retro 60's psychedelic rock vibe.

But green is always a really traitorous and difficult colour to use in general. I usually avoid using it in my work.

I'm fine, Ta

I agree with you, it's actually one of my favorite association of colors. Shades of pink/purple against green is pretty cool, as also demonstrated in fashion:

I also like purple against yellow a lot, it was Björk's Vulnicura album color scheme and it looked awesome:

Promo plans, general sound/vibe of the studio version?

Anyone else feel Gaga isn’t hyped for her own album :( usually she’s so active on Twitter leading up to an album a release, Promo, talking about the tracks, the music, interaction with fans on Twitter,  etc.

is she mad about leaks?

is she over the album?

is it because miss rona?

I think it's a little of bit of all three. She needs to be in control all the time. When her music starts leaking and she loses control she has to take back. She holds info or promo or the release to get back at them. And we get screwed in this. She lost her confidence in the album since it's a bad timing. She also waited too long. Just like ARTPOP should've been released at least April 2013, Chromatica should've been released in August 2019. The only thing we would be losing now is the tour. We all know promo won't be the same. There won't be a lot of music videos and performances.

Judas is coming, let the cultural baptism begin.

The way sis was giving away the color palette of the era back in 2011 itself and we never picked it up :cryga:

explained yourself perfectly mate xx

Yes I agree. I was just saying it's very unconventional from a design perspective but hey when is gaga ever conventional lol

Ye the font and symbolism is really fun. Like an old-school fantasy movie.

Although if I had my way I think I would swap the colours, and make the green background a darkish magenta, and make the pink font the green. I think that would make the whole look more mysterious and would give a greater sense of space. the bright green and pink are a bit flat.

I'm fine, Ta
