In the grand scheme of things, SL did completely fine, it was critically acclaimed, received great radio support, and was u fortunately hindered by a global pandemic which removed majority of the traditional promotion that a song would receive. I've still never really understood the "stream it in the background!" thing. The amount of people who would have to do this for it to impact numbers is...quite a bit. I'm not saying we couldn't achieve that here, but it's unnecessary. I don't want her song to hit a number because we forced it to. If the GP eats it, they eat it, and if they don't..hopefully we all like the song/album and leave it at that. I think sometimes people would rather have a #1 sh*t sell out song than a #20 fantastic song. At the end of the day, no single fan group is going to love an album collectively, but I want to know for the most part it's well received by us. Is it icing on the cake for the GP to enjoy it? Yes.
