I love Free Woman so much ! The fact that the final version might sound totally different from the demo gives me anxiety

Not sure about it sounding ''totally different''. But it will eventually be different. In some way.
And I'm 90% sure there will be a replacement  for ''I want, want to be, be, be, free, free, free, forever, baby''.

Why Gaga did not perform SL at least in a live or something? :oprah:

Not on topic... I'm obsessed with your AVI. Princess peach is one of my mains.

On topic...I'm conflicted with Fun Tonight. On one hand, fun music sounds so great right now but on the other I'm a little worried it's going to go too far in the generic pool. Even in her most summery boppy songs of the past, there was still depth in her lyricism, so we'll see. I'm being very assumptive over a title so

Thank you! Princess Peach has been my go-to character since forever.

I agree that there's some chances it might fall on the generic side with not much deep lyricism I guess, but after the more serious and mature approach of Joanne/C2C/ASIB, I think it would be refreshing to have something lighter. As long as the entire album isn't like that, I'm cool with it (and also being assumptive over titles is pretty much all we can do right now, which is actually exciting because we only heard two songs in full, almost the whole thing is a mystery).

Are we having even more moaning when we're getting a brand new single, brand new video + brand new album...all in the space of 15 days? I am extremely unable. :toofunny: :toofunny: :toofunny: :toofunny:

We are also getting a thong and a jockstrap, let's not forget about those

I understand that many people are annoyed that there hasn't been much major promo for Chromatica, but does anyone else think this silence from her is because she's organizing big things? Think about what she had planned pre-pandemic, I think she's re-evaluating and will come out with a bang.:queenga:

I think we have to remember that the consumption of music has changed once again since Joanne's release, people have shorter attention spans than ever before and it's only worse with the current pandemic; I know I'm constantly looking for new things to watch or listen to during this lockdown.

I'm assuming they're banking on a really short and highly concentrated promotional timeline. It would be different if she could've had the rollout she planned, but that's not possible, so they have to try another strategy. The label don't really need to cater to her hardcore fans right now, we're guaranteed sales and streams; they need to prioritise casual fans and the general public who might check out the new Gaga record just to see what the hype is about. Timing is key, especially in an era when everything is so instant. If they make enough noise at the right time then it'll be successful.

This is the only logical explanation I can think of anyway - drop everything in quick succession to maximise the impact without tiring out the general public, but then ensure album longevity with post-release content for the fans; it's the best of both worlds and could be genius if they nail it.

Agree with all of this. Especially the last part. Attention spans and news cycles have become shorter. They're probably just trying to take advantage of that by stretching out the "silence" so they can deliver promo hits in quick bursts within a very short time and concentrate the hype and mount it around the release week, if that makes sense

She was rehearsing and filming the ROM video the week that SL came out and then the lockdown happened. Thank god she did that

She was filming some MV for the album? Or she waits the album release?
