Β Based on the circumstances, we shouldn't consider Stupid Love a smash, but neither is it a flop. I would define the song as a moderate hit (I think it's the fairest). It did debut on Top 5, a great peak. Not to mention that SL had every opportunity to debut in no. 1, maybe if Gaga had made the song debut at the Grammys and hadn't waited one month to release the song officially, she would have achieved that.
