The BTWB castle was an extremely creative and artistic design, and the entire story line paired with the stage and the visuals flowed seamlessly. Then you have JWT. I do agree her vocals are better. No denying that. But the stage was simply a moving platform with bright lights and then catwalks which came down from the ceilings. A tour is usually looked at for the visuals accompanying the music. Aside from a few tracks, she stood all the way in the front in front of LED lights and sang. I could watch a YouTube video for that. For me, If I'm shelling out hundreds of dollars to see an artist life, I expect an immersive, visually spectacular experience. Not her standing on a stage and singing so gays can go "yasss vocals!" But in her defense, it was Joanne so... I guess it depends on where your tastes lie. For me, I always look for a show thats going to give me entertainment, and spectacular vocals. Its why I'll probably never make any effort to see Britney Spears. I wouldn't go to an Adele concert either because that would be too much the other way. But someone like Gaga, I expect both. Joanne World Tour has the best vocals, the best story line, and overall cohesiveness out of all her tours except The Monster Ball. The choreography was on point, the stage design wasn't too much... the BTWB felt a bit like a pantomime to me. I ALWAYS love good vocals, and thats why I would place the JWT at the top. That said, could the Chromatica Ball be her best tour? I feel like the crowd interaction was better of the JWT since Gaga could actually connect with fans authentically rather being caked out on dr*gs and putting on an image of what she wanted us to see... y'know. Its not about how many fans she has on stage or backstage, its about the actual human-human connection. And after what happened with Ariana, its obvious she would lessen the amount of fans she has on stage or backstage for security reasons.
