IT'S A SINE

Well, tbh, I hope the video is with Elton because it's probably the track that would've / could've performed best from Chromatica - aside from ROM, that is.

It's disappointing to me that a collaboration with Elton John won't be pushed heavily pre-album because, as it's own single, I think it would've smashed with the GP.

Chromatica should've started with ROM as the lead, Babylon as a promo single, and Sine From Above as the third (or second), official single before album release.

But... hey ho.

The Free Woman MV should have enigma lip synching 'Be Free' everytime that lyric hits

Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight

This era was intended to be short as I think Admin mentioned... girl just wants to get back to Vegas ASAP :enigma:

Oh yeah, the era was always going to be short in time frame (just like Joanne) - but I thought they might've filled the short time with more content.

And there's short... and then there's, like, a three week era - which is what Chromatica post-delay will be.

I've been thinking that too, they could put her in Picture in Picture style like in the Stupid Love video

(not enigma, Gaga herself lol)

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

I have to disagree. Sour Candy is by *far* the track that can perform the best from a sales/streams perspective.

Idk... BP seems to be big in the Asian markets, but I'd say overall, Ariana has more impact

Do you think she's still as eager to get back to Vegas now that Covid-19 has taken over? I suspect perhaps not. Casinos are going to be such a cesspool.

I mean, their highest position in the US is #11.

I think, whilst they're a streaming force, in terms of charting well and GP recognition, they're not very known.

I think Sour Candy saved for album release week makes more sense because it'll bring more streams to the album itself.

But I don't think the song would smash a standalone single outside of music streaming platforms.

Fair point. It'll be interesting to see if the label's position on this shifts at all based on K-Pop bringing big digital numbers during a time when we are all inside. Would hate to be the ones making these decisions rn lol

Yes, I am sad that the era is short, but I understand their choice.  What's the point of releasing several songs when their promotion is very complicated?  Apart from doing live shows from home...

They want to release the feat with Ariana close enough to the release of the album to attract people's curiosity.

It's going to be a very weird era with certainly no performances, nothing.

I hope they've at least scheduled interviews on talk shows...

People who heard it said it’s not that good. Elton is not very successful nowadays. He is a legend but it would do nothing for Gaga’s career. Also the idea of first two singles being collaborations is not good at all because people would accuse her of trying to get success by leaching onto other artists..

Yes, I worry that MGM will force her to come back before it's safe for her to do so. I know Vegas is in a push to reopen because they've lost so much money, but I don't see how shows can return anytime this year. And even though Gaga stays somewhere else, most of the Haus stays at the Nomad and hangs out there and in the Park MGM, which would still put her at risk for catching the virus even if she were to scrap M&Gs.

But to bring it back to Chromatica: I wonder if having to pause Vegas for a while will prompt her to extend the Chromatica era? I realize this era will be different in terms of promo though...
