maybe this is something the final version will fix. A more bombastic instrumental and it’d definitely be a powerful chorus.

The first and second chorus sound like a buildup, true. But by the time you reach the end it's clear that is the chorus itself. I agree. If they keep the punch of the final chorus in the first two then it might be more distinguishable. But then it wouldn't build up to a crescendo like it does currently. When the final chorus hits, you know it's going another level up

That said, it still doesn't change the fact that the song has a chorus and it's at least more distinguishable than SL

I just have to say that I adore Free Woman and some songs don't need a strong "chorus". It's more about the mood and vibe. I think if you're more chorus driven, you may care more about the charts and standard verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus-chorus roadmap for songs. Idc really.

Yeah I can see that, though if anything I’d like a bit more oomph added to the final chorus itself.

I’m both hyped and nervous about the fact that FW will be different from the demo. I think FW has some incredible highs but definitely needs some fine tuning, so I hope the fixes are 1) changing up the lyrics in the second verse, 2) editing down the outro, and 3) general mixing improvements to polish the whole thing up

I haven’t heard this possibly fake funk version but people here seem to really hate it, so hopefully it retains the demo’s style

The funk version was LQ and like 5 seconds so it was hard to tell if it’s actually good. I’d still give it a chance if it was the final version

i think it’s more of a case of people just really liking the house style

The Funk one wasn't even real. It was clearly a filtered acapella of the leaked one over a barely constructed Don't Start Now style instrumental. That's why the vocals were so muddy and the instrumental so clear.
