My initial post was a joke, I thought the “  “ kinda made that clear

it was my first time hearing FW when it leaked coz I didn’t listen to the snippets and when the chorus ended I was like “oh..?” Coz I thought it was another prechorus or summ. Nobody ever played a new song before where you thought the chorus was a prechorus until it ended?

I can see why the debate of FW’s chorus is happening

The instrumental of the “I’m not nothing..” part sound like a prechorus buildup, while the way she’s singing it sounds like an explosive chorus.

maybe this is something the final version will fix. A more bombastic instrumental and it’d definitely be a powerful chorus.

I never once said I don’t lile the chorus, I’ve been singing it all day long coz it’s catchy af, and I explained above it just didn’t sound like it belongs as a chorus to me

When we first heard the leak a couple days ago, many people had the same opinion that the chorus felt like a pre-chorus and therefore people assumed the chorus was a pre-chorus. He isn't ignorant, just didn't know exactly what was what.

I feel like its done like that intentionally. The first chorus builds up to nothing, the 2nd one has the climax of the "I'm a free woman" belt, and the rest of the song goes on like that. Its telling the story and by the time we get to the climax, we are all "free women". Thats the point. Its to further put the message of the song across.

But, to call people ignorant because they don't get that from the song is not fair. And I feel like there are a few people coming at him for that. The album version is still to come and many opinions can change

By the way.

Gaga needs to add Chromatica themed face masks to the chromatica merchandise line-up. With the different tribes symbols and colors. It would be so iconic and a great business opportunity, since masks seem to be the next defining fashion item.
