Lady Gaga didn't have a straight male audience until she took off those costumes, looked normal and made them fall in love with her voice in A Star is Born. I still know a bunch of straight men who have Shallow on their playlist but get embarrassed listening to Stupid Love. So it's not that men don't like female singers, it's just they prefer for them to look normal and make relatable songs then to look fierce and sing campy pop songs. Straight men aren't really allowed to like these campy things because its considered effeminate . No? countless basic ass pop songs flood the chart, which applies to every genre of music. also no one cares about female musicians except the gays and stans so that is a problem within the stan community these songs are successful because people enjoy them and would rather listen to that than other songs. also every generation has amazing songs & some bad. So yes, toosie slide isn’t very enjoyable for most of us on this site, but the GP like it. + if you don’t like top 40 music then branch out! Its so annoying to see people put so much pressure on female artist to stay perfect just to be second best and the males can do whatever they want and this stupid rap songs keep topping the charts over and over again my parents would tell me how songs like sacrifice by elton or artist like phil collins, Prince, stevie wonder or madonna topped the charts and what am i going to tell my kids???that toosie side topped the charts.
