I think it's more like Bernie lovers who HATE anyone but Bernie

Lol you guys are always perpetuating this stupid generalization because it’s the only way you can get yourselves to justify your positions.

We “hate” anyone who:

- takes money from special interest groups

- perpetuates the wasteful and inhumane military industrial complex

-perpetuates our two party and delegate/elector systems, which are inherently undemocratic

- sends jobs overseas to benefit the profits of large corporations

- uses their public service to enrich themselves or their friends, but have the audacity to claim we can’t afford certain basic programs to help the average American

It’s just easier for you guys to use Bernie and his supporters as a scapegoat, but this goes deeper than 2020 or even 2016. The failings of the Democratic Party run all the way back the moment they chose to run on a neoliberal platform.

You should be LIVID at the fact that the majority of our public officials can’t pass on these criteria.

I dont expect anyone to be perfect, but I think too many americans act like the people they are voting in ARE. All I was trying to say was that there’s still a possibility that Obama’s vetting process ignored any allegations they came across. If Biden’s accusers are eventually proven factually, wouldn’t it mean just that? That Obama’s vetting either completely missed it, or he ignored it? Both are bad. The only other option is that the accuser is completely lying, which is also bad. What do you honestly think?

I remember 2008 very, very well. I knew three people who worked for Obama's campaign, and I even remember the media coverage extremely well. The VP selection was down to Bayh, Biden, and Kaine, and Bayh and Kaine are notoriously squeaky clean—they found nada on Kaine when he was Hillary's running mate. There was also some talk about Gen. Clarke. Some people were actually really mad because Bayh and Kaine both have/had less problematic records (re: Biden's Crime Bill) and thought Biden was a bad VP pick when there were safer, folksier "white guys" to use.  It is possible they missed a harassment or rape complaint, but it defies common sense that they ignored it because they wanted Biden so bad when they had two equal, if not better, options in the wings—especially because the media, even "liberal and left" media, was insanely racist towards Obama back in the day.

Minor details change because it was a long time ago and trauma makes it hard to remember everything exactly.

I was raped when I was 4 to around 6 years of age. I am 27 now and I remember everything vividly.

This is excuse is old and tired. Something with this woman does not sit well with me. The fact that she has expressed Love and admiration towards Putin.... Something is fishy here

Sorry Bernie fans, youre gonna have to come up with something better to smear Biden, this one really didnt work and will end up helping him as he cleans his name more every day.

1. Dementia

2. Centrist

Two great reasons everyone should consider (besides him being a rapist)

Evan Bayh was an option and squeaky f*cking clean. So why would they pick Biden, if they were aware of a rape allegation, and not pick Evan? Especially since most people WANTED Obama to pick Evan, since they thought he was better at the "folksy" routine than Biden. Also, Tim Kaine was a finalist and back then VA was considered a swing state. Seriously, why would they choose a guy they knew was accused of rape over two squeaky clean, equally bland, and "folksy" guys who actually have a far less problematic voting record—to the point some journos said they thought Obama made a big mistake when he picked Biden over Bayh or Kaine?

I think y'all forget just how racist 2008 was and just how racist the media, even the liberal and left media, was about Obama. There was no way they were going to choose someone they thought had serious skeletons.

Thank you for spelling out the history!

I can’t believe people think that Biden was the only choice. There were tons of white guys lining up to be VP. It’s not like we have a shortage of white, male governors, mayors, Congressman , Generals, and Senators! Lol

If you are a Biden fanatic and you don’t support due process, YOU are a rape apologist and an accessory to rape culture. PERIOD.

People love to take the extremes of saying “He’s guilty!” or “He’s not guilty!”

The reality is we need the evidence to speak for itself. Don’t ignore it. Don’t assassinate the accuser’s character. Let due process carry on.

There may not be 'due process' involved here because a criminal investigation may not be opened. We very well could just be working within the realm of public opinion. And if Dems have any integrity, they will treat the Biden accusation the same way that they treated Kavanaugh and Ford. They MUST say they believe Tara or they are the biggest hypocrites in the world. Malicious hypocrites, I would add, because they would be weaponizing sexual assault allegations when it is convenient and dragging down women when it is inconvenient.

I am so sorry that you were raped.

Please be careful not to apply your experience with trauma to the whole public, though. Especially considering your experience is not the norm. Most people do compartmentalize and try to forget what happened to them. There is data and empirical evidence to prove this.

Also, are you really suggesting that a women should not be believed because she has a viewpoint that you do not agree with? That's pretty sh*tty.

I am not saying people who claim they are victims of sexual assault should not be believed.

But the way she has come through with her supposed allegations, things are not adding up. She keeps changing her story and the details that have come out contradict what she has said in the past.

The me too movement and the 2016 and the aftermath of victims coming out with their own stories... things don’t ****ing add up. It was painful to relive. I attempted suicide four times, I became a drug addict. I am okay now.

Every story that has come to light in the media since...you can tell a pain and trauma that is undeniable. With her.. idk I don’t see it.

I would encourage you to review the corroborating evidence for Tara's allegation. This is a lot easier to see than many other situations.

The naivety is stunning.  You think Bernie could have changed that? Bernie couldn't get enough votes to become the presidential nominee never mind change the world. Fact is his support dropped  from 2016. Pie in the sky sonny boy. And without the Military we would all be saluting swastikas.

Biden accuser Tara Reade 'not sure' what complaint she claims was filed with Senate says

Reade has said that the complaint, if it’s found, would not include the sexual assault allegation that she came forward with in March. She told the Associated Press in an interview Friday: “the main word I used — and I know I didn’t use sexual harassment — I used ‘uncomfortable.’ And I remember ‘retaliation.’”

In 2017 Alexandra Tara Reade praised Joe Biden for his action in helping stop sexual assault, not just once, but on multiple occasions.

Between September of 2016 and May of 2017, Alexander Tara Reade used a Twitter account, under the name Tara McCabe, to spread praise of Joe Biden via tweeting, retweeting and liking various Tweets.

There are multiple examples of this, as seen below:

In the below instance, Reade retweeted a tweet by Margaret Cho that appears to commend Joe Biden for working with Lady Gaga to end sexual assault.

Then again in April of 2017, Reade liked a tweet by the Huffington post that praised the former Vice President for helping men realize how important they are in the fight against sexual assault. The article commends Biden for the steps he has taken to encourage men to take responsibility in stopping assaults against women.

Also in March of 2017, Reade made a tweet claiming that Joe Biden “speaks truth,” and encouraged her followers to “listen” to him.

In November of 2016, a few weeks after the election, Reade liked a tweet made by President Obama, wishing Joe Biden a “Happy Birthday,” and calling Biden “the best Vice President and friend” that he could have had.

Additionally, in January of 2017, Reade likes two tweets by the Obama WhiteHouse Archive, one quoting Joe Biden’s praise of Obama, and the other congratulating Joe Biden for receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

It's really sad that the media almost ignores all the inconsistencies. The pressure to not ask her any hard question and to minimize any of the "details" that makes her look less credible is huge. It basically invites people to make false accusations about anyone in power.
