The Sims 3 was the peak of the franchise. There are some things about it that are worse than The Sims 2 but the new things it brought were so great that it didn’t really matter, and the expansions fixed most of it anyway.

The Sims 4 brought very few new interesting things and removed A LOT from The Sims 3. Expansion packs for the game have fixed a bunch of things and it isn’t as barebones as it was at launch, but no expansion will bring the open world back, so it has no chance of ever surpassing The Sims 3.

did sims 3 have better story progression or character development than sims 4 then? I think I'll  buy it. It's gotta be better than Sims 1, which is what I'm used to :excuseu: games have come so far since I last played a Sims game.

Yes, Sims 3 had the best story progression out of all the games. But yeah 2-4 are definitely less limited than Sims 1 and each generation can be fun depending on what you're into.

And yes Urbz was so iconic. The music, the clothing, the districts. Back when EA really leaned into the rated T for Teen rating now Sims is all clean and polished and family friendly :crossed:

TS4, get into it:trollga:

it just works best. i do have a sense of nostalgia for TS1, having played it on my PS2 (:ladyhaha:) but it’s nowhere NEAR as good as TS4. it’s just the way it is. i also remember playing the PSP version which truly just...a blast from the past

I only remember Sex and the City mode for The Sims 2. :selena: Yes I played it when I was 9 or 10. :awkney:

TS4 removed all the fun of TS3 for the sake of graphics and performance. Yawn!

Anyways, preorder The Sims 5

I played all 4 of them and still continue to.

I'd say Sims 2 is the best on details but the Sims 3 takes the lead just by a bit for me personally as the building options are ENDLESS thanks to the acclaimed color wheel. I'm more of a builder than a player and the color wheel being absent is a PAIN IN THE A.. in the Sims 4...

Not even mentioning being able to CREATE YOUR OWN WORLD and that being OPEN.

Sims 3 DID THAT.

so my top list:

4. Sims 1 (still a lovely game)

3. Sims 4 (love the multi-tasking)

2. Sims 2

1. Sims 3

I played each of the games A LOT in their respective times; however, I would have to say Sims 3 takes the cake from me.

I played it non-stop for weeks on end when I first got it. I would stay up until like 5am, even though I had to wake up for school at like 7 lmao.

Off topic but how easy is it to get Sims 1 working on a fairly new PC? Will it work on Windows10?

Surely I'm not the only one who always heard them say that word. :ladyhaha:

F*ckin Goopy!!!  :grr: None of my Sims have ever made friends with him, he's such a trash boy :laughga:

I always make a gold digger sim who seduces and marries Malcolm Landgraab for his fortune :laughga: She's always been a sexii ladii but maybe this round I'll do a gay sugar baby and seduce Malcolm into the LGBT rainbow :laughga:

My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <3
