Glamourpuss 29,062
I think her trauma shattered her sense of self. She had no choice but to confront it when the PTSD was rearing it's ugly head and then that's when she started opening up to us and showing the girl behind the superstar aura. I feel that she's shared far too much with us and now she's healed or knows how to manage her symptoms she should go back to the enigmatic persona. It's more fun when she keeps her life a mystery. She used to be eccentric but we don't really see that anymore.

I think the novelty about her opening up about that stuff was nice during BTW, but it removed a lot of the intrigue into her personal and ultimately backfired because it gave a rabid fanbase entirely too much insight and impact into her actual life. I support the work and vulnerability she shows with mental health stuff, but I still think that being a star as big as she is, there's a lot of her personal life such as relationships that she should keep private. THIS 100000000% I completely agree that people mature and change over time, and I also think Gaga had to bring Stefani more into everything because of how she talked about being disassociated from herself and feeling owned by the world. HOWEVER, the con to this is that the escapism, fantasy, and a lot of the allure to her slowly started to vanish the more human she became. It was like she was superhuman and never wore normal clothes. But now we know she's just a regular girl

She was still really fun though and did things for the sake of ART. She believed in the message of ARTPOP so much, I don’t think she cares much about her music anymore it’s more that she does it because she has to and she just follows producers. Mark Ronson for Joanne and now Bloodpop for CHROMATICA.
