Lisseth 427 Posted April 29, 2020 Share Posted April 29, 2020 Hi guys, this is my first post, haha I'm making a portrait of Gaga, and I've been copying a picture But I don't know if I'm going right This is my first time doing a portrait and some friends told me that they liked it, so I upload it to Instagram The picture I'm showing is how I left it. I'm not continuing on it, but I want to finish it The thing is that I feel something's wrong, there's something that I don't like Are there some artists who can give me some advice? NFRatwell 23,290 Posted April 29, 2020 Share Posted April 29, 2020 I think what looks off is the teeth, the two big ones in the front should be directly under the little crease in the top lip. vanus 6,083 Posted April 30, 2020 Share Posted April 30, 2020 i know yall dont take me seriously on here but im an artist, so hi if this is your first time doing a portrait then congrats its very nice for the first time tho nice shading, looks rly good.... try not to shadow with smearing it with your fingers thats very amateour thing to do, but from what i see you are not doing it too much proportions are kinda the problem, for example the nose is a lil too big, eyes are very different, try to fix the right eye looks like its glued from another drawing u know, its stands out from the whole picture in the way like it doesn't belong there, especially the pupil.. think its lil too big while you are drawing try every now and then and stand a away from the drawing and then observe it from afar and look at it and compare to the real pic, you will much better see things you need to fix pls take this as constructive criticism, not in any way was this meant to be negative, if you need any help im here i see you def have a potential so keep working imma cut a bitch Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
