Is Gaga on Madonna & Britney’s level in terms of Pop Royalty/ Legend?

this. britney has a legacy, but only bc she's part and parcel to the general 90s pop movement, which was a collective moment in pop culture. she didn't really stand the test of time. only her stans truly believe she's a legend.

Can't remember. Just remember it being something that was on the cards, that he was heavily eyeing her to open the This Is It tour back in 2009. I might have to do a little research, I read that years ago. Tbh, to be admired by and eyed up by the King of Pop and to piss off the Queen of Pop so early in your career, you've gotta have something special and legend-like about you 🤣💗

I agree with this. Gaga is an academy award, multi-grammy award winner. Britney is an icon on her own, But Gaga has passed her. And she's not on Madonna's tier yet.

She has a the ultimate pop princess aura. Gaga has an aura and pop cultural stature akin to Madonna's, the ultimate alpha-female. There's just something about Britney that didn't... sustain, I dunno, her legacy will always stand tall though.

Britney career has had  more lows than highs and even her highest of highs was never as high as gaga

I don't think so... She is much more talented than Madonna, more versatile, muuuch moooore critically acclaimed. We need to wait 10 more years to see, however, I believe than she is going to reach MJ's level. And she is in a much more difficult possition than Madonna was, to become a legend

Britney is a legacy artist imo. I personally like her later stuff like FF, BJ, and Glory but as far as the gp is concerned, she disappeared in 2007  she's still an icon and the first modern "pop princess". When you're used as a measuring stick for other artists, you know you've cemented your place in history.

OT: the only artist that comes close to competing with Gaga imo is MJ

If you look at the public's perspective though, Madonna is way bigger. She's probably on par with Britney, Beyonce, Rihanna, Adele, and others like them though.

In my opinion, Gaga is for sure one of the biggest Pop acts of all time, as long as Britney,  but she is on her way to become a legend for many aspects that go beyond music.

Madonna is one of the most representative artists of history. Of any kind. I don’t see any other Pop artists, besides Cher and Michael Jackson, that may be compared to her in terms of legacy until now.

Gaga was going to perform a song called "Pictures" to open This Is It supposedly.

MJ did say that Poker Face was "written by a genius" though  I wish he could have been to see her continue to grow but he definitely knew she was a future icon.

Not too sure on the critically acclaimed part. Her albums aren't exactly marvels on metacritic, nor does she have a Ray of Light. Agree to everything else pretty much. But Madonna is mega talented too. But Gaga ticks more boxes I guess. She can act and sing 5x better at least
