After five years of hiatus, MARINA released her fourth studio album "Love+Fear" on April 26th, 2019. This is the first release without her stage name "and the Diamonds".
In July 2016 MARINA made an Instagram post stating she was "writing music and trying to understand life", later that day posting the watercolor blood oranges.
On July 3rd, 2018, MARINA posted: "Hello friends. I hope you are all enjoying your summer. I am on my way to finish production on my next record + I feel so happy with it. I know it's been a while but I promise this next record will be worth the wait! See you in the autumn, Love, Marina".

MARINA officially announced through social media that the first single would be released on February 8, 2019. It was called "Handmade Heaven" and was released the same day as the music video. On Valentines Day, Marina revealed the tracklist, album cover, and title of her fourth studio album. She also played a snippet of the third track, "Orange Trees".
On March 21, 2019, Marina released "Orange Trees" as a promotional single. She filmed a music video for the song earlier in March, which was released the day after the song.
On April 4th, 2019, Marina released the entirety of the "LOVE" side of the album. Her rationale for doing so was that the two sides of the album are individual works intended to be listened to separately. On April 8th, 2019, the music video for "To Be Human" was released.

From YouTube:

"I created ‘Love + Fear’ as 2 separate records to be listened to individually. A lot of us think of love as positive and fear as negative but the truth is there are positives found within fear and negatives found in love. One of the things I struggled with in the past was letting fear get in the way of love. Love scared me so much. ( Um... remember Electra Heart?!). This record is a result of working through that." - M

Jokes aside, she's so beautiful it hurts :sara:

And To Be Human is such a great song, so Marina, so good, one of my favorits of her.

But Froot remains her best album imo! :tony:

But in all honesty I think the album is much better now than I did when it was released. But I still have mixed feelings on it. :selena:

I'm not a big fan of hers, but I like her music! It's not as memorable as her other works but a few songs are really good. The Fear side is much better imho. "Believe In Love" and "Karma" are my fav tracks.:vegas:

I think I’m the only one here who really likes it :ladyhaha: I think it is because I am not expecting an Electra Heart 2.0 from her and I actually love her complex lyrics.

My favorite ones are To be Human and End of the Earth ( which I think it was meant to be in Swan Song’s position)

So I discovered Marina after the Froot era, during her hiatus, absolutely loved her, and I got my Mum to like her too! Which is fantastic, we don't really have the same music tastes (we have some some stuff in common, she just doesn't stan Gaga like I do, lol). So L+F holds a special place in my heart, because my mum and I followed the era together! And we would've gone to see her if her tour had come to Switzerland, but oh well...

And the songs are fantastic! Handmade Heaven is so gorgeous, what a way to start the era! Orange Trees is precious, makes me want to spend a weekend with Marina on a beach and just dance about; Enjoy your Life is such a happy song, everyone needs it when they feel sad. True makes me feel like she's there for me and feels the same as I do, To Be Human is an important song (and when she sings the bridge she sounds so PRECIOUS!), and End of the Earth makes me want sob at the end, so emotional! Life is Strange is reassuring, and You is so sweet, and I ended up liking it even if the demo was fantastic. Emotional Machine might as well be sung by angels, for all we know. Too Afraid is just soooo beautiful, the harmonies on "turn my life around" And Soft to be Strong, oh my gosh, she made another song with the same perfection, emotion, beauty and QUALITY as Happy. She managed to achieve the same thing again, ugh, her mind :sara:

Sorry for the long paragraph, I'm really enthusiastic about her music! And I like all the other songs too, obviously! (I'm just a bit ashamed of having Luis Fonsi in my iTunes library now, he will never be forgiven for D*spacito :bye:)

But yes, to sum up, I love the album! Yes, Froot is also fantastic, and Electra Heart is a masterpiece, but L+F shows how much of a sensitive and beautiful soul Marina is, and that's why my mum and I love her

Her worst album yet it's better than 80% of the albums released by mainstream artists last year. Handmade Heaven, To Be Human, End of The Earth, Emotional Machine, Karma, True, and Enjoy Your Life are highlights of her discography. Sucks that her fanbase became toxic and up until now a lot of so-called Diamonds keep trashing her because of the album not being strong enough for a comeback. Imagine having this not bad and actually good album as your worst one. Not everybody can do that.

It was not bad it was just very bland. Like all the FROOT personality went missing. I like Marina. Not a big fan. FROOT is her best album. EH is overrated to death
