Should Gaga have extended the ASIB era?

The time between ASIB and Chromatica felt a little long only because there was one single, Shallow. I get not wanting any other song to outshine Shallow's momentum but there was plenty of time after Shallow died down to release ARUTW globally and maybe push Is That Alt-Right? as the third single after that.

Plus ARUTW was a guaranteed smash hit for her. Could have actually done on par with some of the biggest ballads out there. I mean it is already almost at 500M streams on spotify with being a single in only a few markets. It made no sense to not push it honestly.

I'll say no.

That era felt like it went on forever, and I know everyone else wanted ARUTW to be a single, but imo a song getting a single treatment is only worth it if for the video, and seeing how the videos for ASIB songs are just clips from the movie...I'll pass.

No as she wanted to follow up with pop album so she couldn't release ARUTW. ASIB was supposed to focus on her acting skill.

Yes.... since she waited til 2020 for LG6, Always Remember Us This Way should've been released as a single. It would've gone top 3-5, at least

I dunno but they sure teased Clover around the Encore edition being released. Still pressed the actual song wasn't released. That would have kept momentum going, probably, maybe.

I do agree that Always Remember Us This Way DESERVED to be as big as Shallow, but ya know.:ohwell:

I don't mind if the era is short. Most movie promos are short anyways. But she should have released ARUTW as a single. I said what I said!

It was extended in its current format.

she got award seasons and won alot and Shallow went #1.  It did enough. Bring on Chromatica already (when she is ready to ofcourse I don’t want to be dragged in my PM’s again by a specific user.

Letting AWRUTW rot was one of the biggest wasted opportunities of her entire career. Whoever decided not to release that song goofed bad.

I feel like they dragged out shallow so far and pushing anything else would be a waste tbh.

She shouldn't have extended it, just released ARUTW as a single.

Nothing could compete with Shallow at that point. Shallow is the entire movie in a song, so unique. ARUTW is a masterpiece but  it doesn't have that "A Star is Born" thing as Shallow.

It was a movie and it's soundtrack after all, it did better than expected, won an Oscar and stayed on top for like a year? Isn't Shallow the most awarded song on history?

I'm just sad we never got a performance of INLA. I know Shallow was a monster of a hit but that song deserved to be her I Will Always Love You moment.

Xoxo, Victoria
