Art director talks creating the Miss Anthropocene cover

There were three challenges for this project. The first was working at 300 dpi. I failed to realize how much love I have for compositing in After Effects with Sapphire. Designing in Photoshop and dealing with file size/psb immediatly became an issue but was fortunately managable on the new machine. The second challenge was the amount of content needing conceptualized. Everything needed to support the overall story, focusing on topics such as the Gods, simulation theory, political apathy, and the end of the world. The third challenge was working with illustrations coming from Grimes and team. These illustrations needed to appear both as finished artwork and as an open working illustration.

STUNNING i still have no idea how he did it in photoshop, it must've been nuts instead of using Illustrator. can't wait for this to be over and go grab my pink vinyl
