I think the problem that's being pointed out here is the emphasis on the word “definitely”, because self-diagnosis is no science, but of course you could argue that in presence of symptoms it would definitely be Coronavirus.

Other comments in this thread are just people expressing hatred because you know, the LGBTQ+ community, although we have gone through so much discrimination and scheiße, we still LOVE to discriminate people amongst us. I just can't wrap my head around why people can't be polite? I feel like i'm in the same boat as Gaga, she seems like if someone wanted her to refer to them as "they" to feel more comfortable, she would do it. Just weird how so many of her fans are not very accepting of these things. Yes, when I think about it "they" can sound confusing but at the end of the day, if it isn't hurting anyone, what is the problem? Ironic how gays don't want to be discriminated against but are sometimes the first to tell someone else how they should live. Please  too much negativity in the world to be complaining about things like that

You can think Sam isn't an ass without invalidating their gender or on the wider scale, non-binary people and the members of this forum. It can be very damaging to someones mental health seeing people they call friends and co-exist with in this safe space bring up gender politics of whether or not non-binary people exist or deserve to be treated fairly. It's often never a healthy debate due to being unwilling to change your opinion going into it and just using it as an opportunity to cement your opinion further by saying more bait worthy things.

Disagree with Sam if you want to but just leave it at that, we're all just trying to get on with our day.

After leaving GGD due to the amount of ignorance and transphobia that I seen when Sam came out, I'm surprised and really happy to see most of the responses here defending non-binary people positively. Thank you to anyone who has taken the time to look into it further and has kept an open mind!  

We exist and we are also members on this site that can witness our friends and people we respect saying invalidating things, which can be upsetting and very stressful. Most of our members are part of the LGBT+ community or at least, strong allies so our considerations should extend to our non-binary members too.

As many others have said, it's fine to accidentally mispronoun if you are unaware but if you are consciously doing it, it's just spiteful and unnecessary. I witnessed a comment today saying they would purposely never correctly pronoun non-binary people but in the same breath said show your scientific proof. Like... if you're going in with a closed mind why would we bother?

@Admin really needs to make it clear that transphobia against non-binary people is not OK and anyone who is transphobic on this forum should get a WP. The rights of non-binary people should not be up for discussion. 

Edit - to be clear: It's not transphobic to misgender someone by accident. But to make fun of someone's gender identity, to question whether their gender identity is valid, or misgender them on purpose IS transphobic and deserves a WP.
