It's weird that during Covid19 music consumption has hit a serious low point right now but book sales in Europe are actually through the roof and Covid only amplified that trend. It seems music consumption is a lot more casual while reading books, an activity that needs a lot more time, actually is gaining.

The views for Katy are really embarrassing

It's sad because she's constantly on the news with her marriage, pregnancy, American Idol...

Katy Perry is now a celebrity because she already is a celebrity and not for her music. Very similar to Britney spears in 2007. That year revolved around Britney but at the same time she hit a new career low in sales.

It will be hard for me since I am a fan of his as well... but I'm gonna try not to give a single stream to Kygo's album on release week :poot:

I'll wait remains one of the best songs of the year tho :legend:

That's interesting... maybe just some sort of reintroducing? Hopefully she can film more MV's eventually...

I do think they never had that much faith in SL as the gap between SL and the album was only 6 weeks. Also since ROM was planned to drop one week before the album, the gap between SL and ROM would’ve been only 5 weeks. They really wanted to move on quickly. Maybe they have more in store as the era progresses.

Keep in mind that music consumption reaches its daily peak during travels from home to work, and viceversa, or during physical activities where music is used as a stimulator!

Now that many European coutries are starting to reopen, music should be consumed more (still not as high as pre-Covid, but definitely better than few weeks ago)
