I am not a fan and he isn't even hot to me (just in case someone thinks about saying that I am defending him because of that) but this need nowadays of telling people what they have to do, why they have to do it, etc when it is HIS career and HIS life... is kinda... I don't believe in him having to bow down to the cast or the property every time they call, but he could show more effort like I said because he does owe them a lot. He basically has nothing to do with them these days Kind of reminds me of the situation with the trio in Harry Potter. The lesser-known stars are very active in the fandom (likely because they don't have much work otherwise and genuinely love the community) whereas Dan, Rupert, and Emma have interacted variably over the years. Back then, and to an extent even now, if you were a Disney kid you were stuck as a Disney kid. This changed mostly with Selena, Miley and Demi, but think of all the other casts that you barely hear of He was probably told to distance himself as much as he could so people wouldn’t typecast him as a Disney kid.
