As much as it's my favorite series overall in the star trek universe, the beggining did get off to a very slow and boring start and is a bit of a drag at first until the plots really get going DS9 is more long arc after a while. Stories and plots develop and progress over several seasons but that takes time to develop. In the beggining the series starts out more episodic like the other star trek series (each episode it's own story) but after season 2 or 3 then start developing longer term plots too Picard is the most long arc series of all so far. The entire first season is literally based around a single mystery and plot and each episode picks up where the last one ended Edit: which enterprise were u talking about?
