She said that, in retaliation for not going along with Biden after he assaulted her, he removed her from overseeing interns as a punishment and the interns corroborated that fact. I gave it to you. In response, you plucked out this bit as if to say “Well, he probably only raped one woman and Biden’s camp has denied it so... who cares!” The sentence in the piece originally read “The Times found no pattern of sexual misconduct by Mr. Biden aside from unwanted kisses, touching, and hugging,” Biden has been accused of assault once and inappropriate behavior by seven other women. Read the original post at the beginning of this thread. And while you’re at it, reassess why you feel the need to actively defend this sort of person. And? What is the evidence for you? The fact that Biden acts with women like he acts with men? There is no evidence. Read the piece again. It's funny how you didnt read the part where she is Bernie supporter and other political things she did.

What does non-sexual assault claims have to do with this? Nothing. The topic is sexual assault. Because the so called inappropriate touching is non sexual. How does someone “prove” that they were assaulted, objectively, if no one saw it happen? What evidence is a survivor supposed to offer up before people like you stop defending their alleged rapist? Go have a mold made of the area where they were attacked? You want them to record themselves while they’re being assaulted? I’m genuinely at a loss for words. You keep repeating that she’s a Bernie supporter when she was a Warren supporter throughout the primaries and considered voting for Harris earlier on. She only became a supporter of Sanders when it became obvious that the choice was between Sanders and Biden. She’s been talking about this event for decades. She literally reported it when it happened. I don’t even understand why I wasted my time responding to you. It’s like talking to a brick wall. Biden acted the same way with men, old people, his family, not only with women. It's still a pattern of inappropriate touching that should not be tolerated, especially with a public figure who wants to be the president. These behaviors all fall under the umbrella of sexual misconduct/sexual assault/rape because these behaviors are often intertwined in sexual abuse relationships. To be clear: No one is saying Biden is an outright rapist or sexual assaulter. What is being pushed back against is the fact people are willing to justify and ignore claims of inappropriateness of Biden just because he's the Democratic nominee. His behaviors have been categorized as creepy and inappropriate by many people. He has only just recently modified his behavior because he is running for president. Her family members have corroborated her story, Biden's former interns have stated that she was abruptly removed from overseeing them after the event, and she reported that this happened at the time. That is evidence. Evidence is not just hard, physical data proving explicitly that something did or did not happen. Information that supports someone's allegation is, definitively, evidence. That is how cases like this often play out. Rape survivors often don't have physical evidence to prove that something happened and deserve to be taken seriously rather than dismissed in the way that you and others in this thread are exhibiting, which was the entire line of thinking behind the "Times Up" movement, the "believe women" notion, a notion that Biden explicitly endorsed. Hell, there is even more evidence here than there was in Dr. Ford's case against Kavanaugh. The responses in here have genuinely floored me.

Biden’s interns did not corroborate her story. They did not here of sexual assault. In interviews, several people who worked in the Senate office with Ms. Reade said they did not recall any talk of such an incident or similar behavior by Mr. Biden toward her or any women. Two office interns who worked directly with Ms. Reade said they were unaware of the allegation or any treatment that troubled her. Her “family members” are her brother. Ms. Reade said she also told her brother, who has confirmed parts of her account publicly but who did not speak to The Times. There are several people she said she told who say they had never heard of this accusation. The Times interviewed Ms. Reade on multiple days over hours, as well as those she told about Mr. Biden’s behavior and other friends. The Times has also interviewed lawyers who spoke to Ms. Reade about her allegation; nearly two dozen people who worked with Mr. Biden during the early 1990s, including many who worked with Ms. Reade; and the other seven women who criticized Mr. Biden last year, to discuss their experiences with him. No other allegation about sexual assault surfaced in the course of reporting, nor did any former Biden staff members corroborate any details of Ms. Reade’s allegation. The Times found no pattern of sexual misconduct by Mr. Biden.
