Song of the Week!

This is a good rendition of the original song by Don McLean. The lyrics are classic.

I like the original one a lot too, it's a bit too long tho  This is somehow a sad and happy song at the same time  :)

I remember it's a tribute towards the death of Buddy Holly. There is a 4 minute short version and the original 8+ min. I can easily listen to either.

This song has been out for a while now and I love how you can feel the emotion in the song. The video is literally the icing on the cake, makes the song even better.

I've heard that song before, I didn't know the name of it, but now I'll always remember it!

Cool x

This song has had some synchronicity in my life this week, it's come up in different thoughts and conversations, so it's my song of the week.

I like this version best, but I always love this song.

The Stones are immortal, aren't they? They can always have a version of any song and give it an interesting twist that you just gotta like. Good one Sister.

Ambrosia

A voice so rich and refined, and was tragically taken before her time - Karen Carpenter.  I always thought it curious that the song has such an upbeat message, but what I consider, to be in such a melancholy tone.  Karen had only just begun. It was so tender how her much her brother cared for her and protected her.  I like this song for so many reasons not the least of which is -- cheers to new beginnings and old memories.  August is a rough time for me, but also the start of so much anew.  I don't just hear this song; I feel it.

So glad my sister introduced me to them and so thankful for Youtube, bringing us the magic of The Carpenters.  It truly is yesterday once more   This song is me, in a nutshell.
