And Doja signed with him in late 2013 but the contract was finalised in early 2014, before Kesha came public. Kesha sued him in October 2014, and her mess with Luke didn't really make much headlines until early 2016 so you can't blame Doja Cat for being contractually obligated to work with him.

F*gg** is a derogatory term used against gay men. As far as I'm aware, it was never used as a derogatory term against lesbian or bisexual woman. Now, I've done some searches on Google and I cannot find anything from Doja Cat or magazines that say she is bisexual.

As a bisexual man myself, I would NEVER ever use that word. Its just something I know that is deeply negative and just because I'm bi doesn't allow me to use that word. 

Doja Cat is a female, and she is ALLEGEDLY bisexual (but she hasn't said so, so lets assume she's straight) female. She does not have the power to use that word. If she was a gay man, cool. But she is a female. So for her to say that word is absolutely disgusting and its offensive that people are defending her

As mentioned above f*ggot was mainly used against gay men, not bisexual women. The way she used the word initially and her first apology are further proof that she has no understanding of the history behind the word and had no real remorse. Nor was she trying to "re-claim" it. 

 

There were ways for her to bury the songs she did with him, and I'm sure her team could have found ways around either working with him, releasing his music, or promoting it. Instead they tried to cover up his involvement with a pseudonym. Doja does not care about her using the word f*ggot, and she doesn't care that she worked with Dr. Luke. She apologized because a large portion of her following are LGBT and unfortunately the GP will never know she worked with Dr. Luke and they largely don't care.

The word f*ggot has long-time been used not only against gay men, but women who are attracted to other women as well. If you're bisexual, you can say the word - trust me the homophobe on the street doesn't care if you date both men and women, if you date someone of the same sex you're a f*ggot to them either way. And she came out as bisexual here, but go off I guess:

No, I don't stan Kim Petras. In fact I had to Google who that was. I did say things about getting around the contract without ever seeing her contract so I will admit I shouldn't have said anything regarding it.
