Ok if you're comfortable defending an alleged rapist that's fine. I see I'm wasting my time. Also don't act like growing up people weren't saying "*******" as a replacement insult for "stupid" and no one flinched but suddenly when it's convenient we bring it back up to be overly sensitive about it and try to cancel someone. Doja cat is so far from homophobic it's ridiculous lol.

I agree with that, I'm sorry I love her to bits but Jessie J literally done it. The LGBT community is being used to exploit marketing things, and because they see a female giving disco dance songs that appeal to the masses they think they can get away with anything. You can't admittedly say you use a derogatory term and then say "but its okay cause I like gay people". Like no, those two things contradict eachother and I'm quite disgusted that she would think thats okay to say. Imagine this was a white guy using the n word but saying its okay cause he like black people. I know race struggles aren't comparable but there would be an outcry. Its such ashame for these artists, but the music industry needs to wake up and not hold him to such a high level and sign artists like that. even though Kesha's case ruled that he was not guilty (and I do believe that she may have manipulated the truth), where there's smoke, there is fire. Well lets start with saying that I love you so much I love the fact that you are so honest and it's actually a weird situation. However, I listen to music to be entertained, to get joy and just to have fun and let it play with my emotions. I do not really care what the background of artists is and how the music was produced and by whom, as long as I enjoy it. I also listen to Azealia Banks (well..) and Slayyyter (who made racist comments) because their music is dope. I have the ability to seperate the music of the person behind it, but then I just stan the music and not the person (like Gaga). And the situation with Kim is quite different, I do stan her in general, but she's also under contract. I cannot blame her or Doja Cat for that and I want to support her, because it's not their fault. Artists, especially (trans) female artists have a hard time rising in the industry, so they'll take what is offered. We need DarkGa with Bops so we can rule the industry again and learn the other popgirls how to snatch 'em wigs to ultimate baldness!!

I'm just trying to stay rational and sane in these times as there is a lot of things you could bring to the table to ruin ones life without real evidence. If he really did that he deserved punishment and sooner or later it will be brought to the light, some phone call audio, messages or anything else will escalate this. 1 minute ago, xoxo Craig said: I agree with that, I'm sorry I love her to bits but Jessie J literally done it. Artists, especially (trans) female artists have a hard time rising in the industry, so they'll take what is offered. You already know this but I love you x10 more love you I think for me, I have to like the full person as well as the artist and their vision. If Gaga had the exact opposite character to what she has now, I wouldn't be a Gaga stan. I stan because of the music, the passion, the artist, the person behind the art and what that person represents. So for me, everything is important to me. I think there comes a point where the two things overlap. When you are supporting an artist by streaming or buying, you are not only supporting the art, but the artist and the real person behind the art. And everyone who is involved in creating that art. Stefani Germanotta gets paid by being Lady Gaga and putting on spectacles and music for us to enjoy... y'know. If I'm spending my money on something, or listening to an artist, I need to know that my money/time and effort is going on someone who has good intentions at their core. I don't blame Doja or Kim, but the labels... and I can't bring myself to listen to them as thats going to be money in Dr Luke's pocket as well as the artists. Its ashame for the artists and I hope they can break free or something. End Racism Now
DutchHooker 8,490
@xoxo Craig And also, Kim Petras is a trans woman, she's literally part of the LGBT, so that's different than Doja Cat. No label wanted her because she was transgender, it took her so many years to be where she is now and even now she's not big (yet). So I support her as a person too, because she's forced at Dr. Luke and she will never escape him if she won't get support. Well I would potentially be stanning Kim (thanks to you ) if it weren't for Dr Luke... like we need to support LGBTQ artists where we can and she needs more attention. But like I said in my answer above, Luke is attached to Kim... I don't think I could ever stan or like, or even stream, Doja Cats music after what I've found out today End Racism Now

In the first place they wouldn't even sign with him as this is well known case with Dr. Luke but some musicians just want to have hits and it's ok, since most of the people will enjoy that music regardless with whom the artist works since nobody really check this kind of stuff except diehard fans or pop culture enthusiasts (Kim Petras now Doja Cat, I'm sure this list will go on the time goes by) at least in my humble opinion. 1 hour ago, OBEY said: Most likely there's probably something in her contract that forbids her to talk about Dr Luke or whatever + Luke sued Kesha regarding her comments, surely other celebs will be careful bc they dont want to get sued neither 40 minutes ago, brownie said: Did you actually read the tweets? Perhaps Dr.Luke is the only thing Kim can get, because no-one else wants her because she's trans (just an assumption). That makes her kind of obligated too in an unintentional way, because she's an artist for a living of course.
