But $5M seems on par with the donations we've seen from celebs/corps. Apple (with its trillion dollar valuation) ~only~ donated $10M to WHO, $5M to America's food fund. While its great Gaga is able to solicit donations from corporations, Gaga never stated how much of her own wealth she donated to WHO or AFF and on average the WHO donations she's received equal out to about $500K per company  

 

But even if Gaga donated less than $5m I wouldn't be mad with her or anything because there is a drive and a want that she has to make a difference in the world. Money is great, but so are actions. The fact Gaga alone has communicated with WHO and organised this concert is literally so much more than just donating some of your wealth   she is actually trying to do something.

Her earnings last year were $62 million. Do you see a minimum wage employees who makes $20k a year giving $1500 (even if they had spare change)? It's a pretty significant donation. If she gave away her entire annual income, that would leave her with no money left over for her other donations. We also don't know what she's doing behind the scenes.
