Kinda troubling if an album all the way in May 8th is being delayed.  This probably confirms Chromatica is being delayed until June at the earliest... which isn't unexpected.

Why would Gaga use One Republics delay as a template on when to release Chromatica?

There are many other artists who still released their albums despite what's goin on...every artist and label seems to be handling it differently so we have no way to verify what Gaga will do for the release

I just read somewhere that both One Republic and Sam Smith are recording new music for their postponed albums, which seems the way to go given the fact that they both have released like 5 tracks each and they have been out for a while. A lot of artists seem to be writing about the current state of the world and makes me wonder if Gaga would do the same to Chromatica or keep it the way it is now.

Honestly I hope she doesn't...then she starts going into overproduction mode and the album was already done and meant to be in our hands in 2 days...

If she wants to write about corona...write a cute ballad or something and release it for charity...don't ruin the albums release by adding more and more...its already 16 songs and deluxe versions making it like 20 songs...no need to add more lol

Isn't One Republic and Gaga under Interscope?  Anyway, I never said that (ref: in bold).  I was just saying if the major artists - who were planning to release an album in April or May - are delaying albums, then it's probably a given Gaga would follow suit and not release until late May at the earliest.  I'm not saying "she's following whatever One Republic is doing", rather I'm saying "well if One Republic is doing it, I would bet Gaga has the same thinking". The Weeknd released literally at the time the pandemic was starting to get worse and Dua Lipa was basically forced to release.
