You can take your vote shaming comments elsewhere. The Democratic Party doesnât get entitled to my vote. They can either support policies I believe in or my vote doesnât go to them. Simple as that. Iâm not brain washed like the rest of the vote blue no matter who cult and youâll just have to learn to deal with that.
Guest
I have always said Bernie is a good activist, but a failed leader.. He voted for the stimulus bill that will effect people for decades to come and ciment the wealth gap forever. His vote will be remembered specially after the crisis happens and people start getting effected.

Well. Look again what that user said to me only in this thread and compare it with what I've said to him. You dont know the rest. Saying that I'm enjoying the reactions is not hate in any way or form and again, compare it with what some people said about moderates or Biden here. What I've said is x times less negative.

Donât fall for this rhetoric. i mean obviously biden wants bernie supporters' votes and he will continue to pander. but i also believe that this is the most powerful bernie supporters have been in forcing "the establishment" to make more progressive stances (even if just by a few nudges). i mean isn't that why bernie wants to keep his name on the ballot and get more delegates. Economy 52,854
10 minutes ago, BrickMonster said: so true. first of all, i think people forget that trump is still a re-election president. it's historically always been harder to win against a sitting president. also, regardless if biden or bernie was the nominee, it would have been hard because to win, you need to unite the whole (okay, majority) of the party again. It's obviously tough for Biden now to win the Bernie supporters. But it also would have been super hard for Bernie to win the more generally centrist Biden supporters. that's unfortunately the objective reality. There are patterns in election that are extremely common. That's why I found it impressive Hillary Clinton still won the popular vote by such a wide margin after 2 democratic term president's cuz that typically doesn't happen and to me it was never proof that she wasn't electable  Who knows it's possible Bernie could have won over Hillary. But I don't like it when it's stated as a fact. No one can truly know that  As for the current climate in this election my reservations are:  For Biden, he has a lot you can criticize him for. His base is not overly devoted which can also hurt voter turnout. A lot of the most passionate voters right now want big change and Biden only offers mild to moderate tweeks on the status quo  But Bernie can be a difficult alternative for many to swallow because of how left he is (even by international standards despite what many on GGD say, even Scandinavian Countries don't do some of his proposals). I don't know if the votes of Centrists and voters (and let's be honest they make up a big portion of voters) that he likely would loose to Trump would be sufficiently offset by high support from his left base and a lot of independents who support him as well  I'm not sure who would do better against Trump. Maybe Bernie because Biden is so boring and generic and unexciting so voter turnout could be terrible. But I never had solid faith on either of them tbh for the general election  However If the economy tanks from Covid-19 severely and doesn't bounce back fast tho and economy is the 1 thing Trump has the most approval on... That alone could favour votes towards democrats
