I mean, Ellen is known to be a materialist. Someone who is very much into high class life and what not. It's a "joke". But she tries so hard these days. I miss pre 2008 Ellen.

It’s called a ****ing joke. It’s a joke people. Ellen is a comedian. Jesus Christ why are people so damn sensitive? Of course she knows it’s not like being in jail. She probably just wants to leave her house. Take some Valium and get over yourselves. This culture is becoming too censored because people try as hard as they can to be offended.

Because people can't relate to that joke? Because people is at the height of their emotions for being kept indoors for so long? Because some people can't even afford valium to do the things you suggested cos that's how bad it is out there? 

Not the best timing for a joke like this. Even for me who got a better privilege than most.

Yeah, I get that it's a joke, but I think the backlash is warranted especially in the current climate all of us are in . I think it's hilarious that almost every day a new celebrity is getting dragged for being so out of touch with reality during this time.

I don’t think it’s that serious because she’s just making a joke, however I feel like the reason so many people have a problem with it is because of all the recent talk about how Ellen isn’t a very nice person.

I get the whole "eat the rich" mentality but I bet a lot of people who are complaining have made similar comments. Everybody is losing their mind in isolation. Someone will always have it worse than you.
