Two explanations:

1. Being the horrible people they are, they declined.

2. They weren't asked, as the lineup seems to consist of artists of all different genres and demographics.

Or they had other obligations... But I wouldn’t understand your second reason. Sure they would like to have a variety of genres and artist. But A-listers are great PR, everything to spread the message.

Really incredible of hers. But I don’t understand why Ariana is not performing. Just like Taylor, Beyonce, Rihanna and all the other big names.

I'm not sure if the full list of performers was listed.

One thing which really surprised me is that, on my Facebook feed, the Born This Way Foundation (Gaga’s mother, mainly, but they have a staff of some very kind hard working people concerned very much about mental health.) linking right here to GagaDaily.com:

It nice to see Gaga’s family acknowledge this forum and link directly to it.

I love the concept of raising the fund without asking for donation. a slap on those cynical people's face. but out of all organizations, she had to pick WHO :rip:

I’m inclined to think it was the second. I mean, with her status she could have definitely have brought in a lot of more current popstars. But I guess it was all ‘curated’ by her, meaning she invited a selection of musicians.

She didn't pick, they called her. And it's not like there is any bigger organization for this - they're not the best they could be but what can we do.

After hearing this speech, I do think she made the right call to delay Chromatica. Ofcourse, I would prefer to hear it sooner rather than later, but there are bigger things going on right now. The big crisis that is going on right now (and that is coming) is much more important than an album (haters gonna hate) and for her to have put her time (and money?) in this project, for me, is something that makes me speechless ;-).

But yeah I do wonder if somewhere in the back of her mind she is not also thinking about how great this fits into the kindness punk spirit (which would be a human thing to think of imo)

the powerlessness of it all. if this was just a national campaign, i would say CDC or AHA? but since this is a fund raising campaign for countries around the world... there're really not much choices left other than the blatantly corrupted WHO.

we should continue to keep monitoring how the fund is being used. she said the money would directly go to PPE gears and testing kits around the world. let's hope WHO would not take much administration fee out of the fund (they have a very bad record for expensive traveling fee and administration fee, etc.)

Haven't you heard? She and Ariana had creative differences. Rain on Me is cancelled. :ohwell:

Gaga always amazed me with her work, music, charity, persona and really never stopped. This is a living proof of it and I couldn't be more proud of her and myself for devoting now 10+years of some of my free time for her, being a little monster

Can't wait for the concert, can't wait for Chromatica (whenever that may be) and can't wait to see you in Paris (whenever that may be).
