Marina should put out a dance album

I like a few songs of hers, but never really got into her, not for lack of trying either (I've listened to whole albums like The Family Jewels, Electra Heart, and Froot). I listened to these the other day and loved them:

(Speed up the playback to 1.25 on Primadonna!)

This one too, though it is more like "late aughts electronic indie acts influenced by the 70s" in its sound (it's a good sound, like Glass Candy's music and all that other Italo Disco stuff from that label Italians Do it Better):

I felt like her strong voice suits this music so much (I feel like her voice is good, but sounds like an acquired taste on some of her own tracks). These made me a Marina fan, but the conumdrum is that I just mostly like the remixed versions of her songs, which has never happened to me before. What I'm trying to say is that her voice and lyrics are great, but I just don't prefer the production she herself uses. She would probably be compared to Dua if she did 80s themed stuff, but I feel like her voice would also slay on late 90s type dance stuff, and again, that late 00s shiny indie-disco sound, like Roisin Murphy.

I don’t know. Besides all the bad comments I’ve seen here regarding on Love+Fear, I think it’s such a mature album. I love the line that she’s following.

Wouldn’t mind a new Champagne tho.

I think she could still be mature with a dance record. Sophisticated dance music is great and refreshing IMO. Roisin Murphy's album Overpowered comes to mind, some of Sophie Ellis Bextors stuff too, Beth Ditto is also great at this.

All of Roisin’s standalone singles are 11/10. I would die

Well, we'll have another dance album called Chromatica soon. :ohwell: So leave deep and metaphorical lyrics to other artists. :ohwell:

I know you love MARINA, I just joked (bad joke, okay :messga:).

I love Love+Fear but I also would like to hear something like Shampain, Girls, Oh No, Bubblegum Beach (a masterpiece!), Radioactive and more... :messga:
