I'm just frustrated that this era seems to be the messiest era ever and the fact that she can't reveal things how she wants because stuff keeps getting leaked

Things like this are out of her hands. Unfortunately, her team couldn't have known they were planning to release her stuff in times of corona.

Actually they could. corona was spreanding in the US since the release of SL and before the Chromatica announcement. They could predicted that for sure.

well she did have a plan but of course miss Corona had to come along and ruin everything. LG7 rollout is gonna be amazing. Can't wait for it. 

Also when are we getting that something else she said we would still get soon and where is the new release date we are back to before Stupid Love came out.

Also, Dua’s album leaked in full...And it didn’t do that well. It’s an amazing album but clearly people aren’t focused on it, sadly. So if you want her to “succeed” then you should be happy about the delay...Sure the leaks are annoying, but the impact isn’t that big out of the fanbase...

It was her labels decision to put it out later. You can’t say otherwise. This “dancing through the pain” is just everyones selfish excuse for wanting the album now. I wished she never said that ugh...

We get a thread like this one every day, it’s annoying, life with it or leave. It’s hard but it’s that simple.

Gurl, it had a release strategy, but - yes, I'm going to say it - we're in the middle of a global pandemic that's killing people in the thousands everyday. So your life might not be affected by it, but this just isn't the right time for her to be like: "Hey here's a new song, here's a new video, please buy muy stuff so that I can be even richer than I already am!", even if she had videos ready to release.

Exactly. And we got all this information coming from other sources and she just pretending its not happening. I get the era is on hold, but she literally doesnt even speak about it anymore, its sad and made me lost completely my hype for this.

The joke of Interscope delayed LG6 last year because apparently Adele was coming and then finally to release it 2020 only for a pandemic to come and destroy everything and delay the album i don't see anything getting better for that era tbh it's pretty much done now

She planned an amazing rollout for us! Multiple appearances, including iHeart radio, and surprise Coachella set!  She has a duet with Ariana Grande (one of the biggest pop stars on earth right now) which was likely going to be the second single. Her first single was an amazing video that hearkened back to her pop roots. It was supposed to be amazing!

 

Also do you really think that just dropping the album amidst everything going on would've been a good rollout? Stats have shown that music streaming is way down right now. No real promo, no real performances. It would've tanked. Let her put it on pause, regather, plan a new strategy, and come back with a bang like she intended to.

No roll out by any artist is ever perfect.. we as Gaga fans are able to see it because we spend so much attention on Gaga and are able to detect flaws.

I think we, as fans, are too passionate/dense. She spoiled us with excellence for way too long. 

The things she did in the past, that's not the norm. She was extraordinary, and that intensity took a toll on both her mental and physical health. 

Why am I repeating this? Rosalía, who is HUGE in Europe and Latin America, just nonchalantly said that she scrapped her single, which was meant to be a club banger duet with a US artist. The video was shot and everything, she just said it didn't felt right for her to release such a song, cause she's not in the mood for it. 

And that's it, that's the only explanation she's willing to give her fans: Rosalía had a big fat hit under her sleeve, video was shot, hot collab, ready to release, but she just feels sad because of the current pandemic, the song does not reflect her state of mind anymore, so she scrapped. 

And guess what? her audience respects that, and deals with it, because what else are they gonna do? . She is the artist, and they are the audience, if she doesn't want to release it, it ends there, no argument. 

Now, we all know how that went when GaGa delayed Chromatica . We are all too dramatic . 

We act like it's the end of the world whenever we don't get the absolute best possible result, and it's our fault, IMO. GaGa is just a musician, there's a current pandemic actually killing people, and she's just doing what she considers best. 

Even if she is "wrong"... is it really THAT terrible? I mean, is not like she'll go bankrupt, or her career will end. If this album doesn't roll out perfectly and smooth, there'll always be a next one, who cares . 

I think little monsters need a reality check TBH, is just pop music, is not that deep, it'll be ok .

Yeah I find this annoying. It feels like every time she releases, she delays because someone else is coming. If she released now she'd have The Weeknd, she is delaying but then she'll have to release with all artists who have also delayed. She might overlap with the return of Rihanna, Adele, Beyonce. If she waits further, Taylor Swift etc. etc.

There'll always be strong competition. You've just gotta bring it and outshine with the strength of your art.

Gaga and her team are very creative, they can also find different unique ways to perform and promote the album if she really wants to.

Delaying the album makes sense.  Gaga has a whole team to think about who are all counting on or hoping for a complete project.  

There are other parts of what's going on that mystify and disappoint me, but this decision made sense.

I don’t think you realise how long it takes to plan a rollout. By the time SL was released, 90% of things were already set in stone.
