More like opinions... but anyway, my main point is that so many users Dua to put down Gaga, praised her, said she is better and more succesfull only for her album to do underwhelming-ish. Karma. :vegas:

The facts remain: shes having an incredible year. DSN is a worldwide hit, FN is basically unanimously loved by fans and critics, even the picky ones. She will serve longevity and is pushing her career ahead.

No karma involved, just winning because of quality and talent.

She is doing so amazing, I better not see anyone bitter about not debuting at #1 but I guess it's too late.

LMAO sales have nothing to do with the quality of the album. What are you even talking about? She still released best pop album in years and yes she is currently saving it because she is the most popular female pop star on streaming and downloads rn. Smh

Saving pop music is literally about success though

like 5SOS didn't post 27383828 tweet and deal and merch once they realised Dua was leading.

Are 5SOS members good looking and hot guys? Cause if they are, I'm going to give their music a chance.

She also outdebuted this imaginary Michael Jackson and The Beatles album that was released the same week as Gaga's. :applause:

Pop is a particularcase. Pop relies in popular.  And you know all the comments on this site, c'mon.. They imply Dua lipa is the ''IT girl'', /having people's attention/ ''serving more than Gaga'', you 100% must know. They complainted and dragged Gaga so much for delaying yet look at what numbers is Dua Lipa doing. They say Dua lipa is more fresh and puts out more quality, yet look at her debut..

this used to be the case with teenyboppers and doo-whoop music in the 60 years ago sis, when pop music was emerging as a "new" genre. you know damn well that nowadays pop music refers to Britney, Gaga, Ariana etc.

if pop music relies in popular then rap and hip-hop would be labeled as pop and that's not the case. quality has absolutely nothing to do with chart success, though in some cases that does happen at the same time

I have absolutely no doubt FN will get to #1 so I dunno why some of you are thinking she failed?

She has 3 singles in the UK TOP 6! She will get it once 5SOS drop massively next week.

In my messy era.

How is that different from what you are doing rn? Bringing down Dua to praise Gaga.

But none of them saved pop music. You can't save pop without an extremelly successfull album.

Lmao No it’s not. Pop is serving sound that is popular at the time, not necessarily being popular. Drake is popular but his music is not pop. Also where was this logic from 70% of users when ARTPOP was flopping?
