I dont know why people have such a problem with a musician being focused on other ways to help a crisis. Let her choose how she wants to help, the desperation from fans that just want the album is so tragic. 

She has a huge platform and unlike other artists she is going above and beyond just being a musician. And to say "thats the only thing she as a musician can do"... shes not JUST a musician just look at all the philanthropic efforts she has been a part of. If after following her for this long and still dont realize that, cant help you.

We are taking issue with how she's communicating, not what she's doing.

True story. It was a gimmick and you can tell the entire conversation was scripted. In fact she’s one of the few artists that’s been proactive with COVID-19 relief efforts.

The fact is I really don't see how she could help to cure a decease 

And honestly, that would be just very messy to announce an announcement to say 'hey guys I'm giving 1M dollars for researches' 

Not even talking about Chromatica, but I just don't think it's a battle for any celebry to show up and talk about things they just don't know. Giving people lessons or anything. The best they can do is just giving huge amount of money to help researchers. Then again I don't think they really need to announce it if they do.

I don’t see why she should be forced to release Chromatica to give proceeds to charity?  This record was made during a more stable time in the world and for someone who has told us about her mental health problems in the years to come I doubt she would want to look back at it being an album associated with a global pandemic. She wants the album to reflect a happier time in the world i.e when the world has fought back from the virus. 

It’s obvious she is going to help organize a charity benefit or something that will encourage awareness, charitable donations and entertainment.

Everybody is DRAGGING celebrity culture through the mud, the fact that practically the only celebrity getting praise at the moment is Britney should tell you a lot. And I say this in the least shady way possible, her instagram is a source of pure and simple positivism. Nobody has time for the teasing and "I'm busy" antics that were pulled last night, especially with something related to Coronavirus

Sure, but I don't see why she has to do something as a musician to help. Gaga has done charitable things surrounding mental health and other issues before that were never related to her music.

Therefore if she wants to have a more immediate, and tangible impact by partnering with WHO, various other charities, supplying hospitals with supplies,etc instead of only donating a portion of the proceeds from an album then I genuinely don't see the problem here.

May i just give my insignificant opinion on this. Should we worry about her being dragged, or should she worry? In the end what matters is to help, and if she succeeds, then objective has been achieved. It doesn't matter. We discuss how she is thinking to help as not being the correct way. Some think she should have done X others think that doing Y would the right thing to do, etc.  And we don't even know what she has planned, the people involved and how much and how she will help.

Elton John's living room concert thing raised 8 MILLION dollars for the charities he was highlighting! If Gaga is organizing a benefit of some sort on an even bigger scale, imagine the money she could make. Much more than she would donate by herself, or the profits from Chromatica would be. Let's wait and see what she's working on before jumping to the conclusion that it's useless, please?
