Lol god I am SO sick of all of the little defenders on their high horses day after day in this site. I literally reviewed the last 9 pages while I was sleeping. I didn’t see ONE of us critiquing the segment because she didn’t release Chromatica info. I’ve said time and time again I wouldn’t be surprised if we go the whole month without Chromatica info (despite the fact that some of us have hundreds of dollars invested in the era including merch that still hasn’t come, digital sales, album pre-orders, and tour tickets they’re annoyingly waiting to postpone) and that’s fine if she’s working with the WHO.

This was WEIRD to do regarding an announcement for a global pandemic killing thousands of people that she’s been working on for a week already. Even if “plans aren’t finalized” (which is also hard to believe jimmy would “call” her in the middle of planning at 10:00 PM on pre-taped National TV) there’s no reason she couldn’t talk more about it or just air the segment on Monday. There is no place for humor with what’s going on. She shouldn’t take this super serious stance in her post announcing the delay and then literally do something akin to a SNL skit regarding what she’s working on with the WHO. I’ve said it several times, I’m proud of all of the philanthropic work she’s done, especially as a gay man who used her music to come into my identity and not feel out of place in society anymore. And yes, I was extremely gutted that the only thing getting me through this awful time was Chromatica and it was taken away, but most of us are confused at the WAY this was done and NOT because we think we deserve album news. Learn to stop not letting people have opinions on this site or refrain from commenting on threads like these if you’re incapable of reading criticism when it comes to her. Should people call her names and drag her? No, of course not. I don’t support that and don’t do it. But you’re more insufferable than the people posting valid points about how they felt about it.

Who knew something so harmless would cause such a reaction...

At the end of the day whatever she has been doing/planning during these days and will be presented soon, will help people.

The amount of unnecessary Gaga defending in this thread:

The Office Reaction GIF

If this was really staged (I don’t think it was) than it’s so tasteless and still so unprofessional considering her announcement is linked to COVID-19. I have no words. Just skip the part where y’all play good fans and don’t quote me.

This!

It already feels like she’s trying to gain attention from it.
She should’ve just announced what she plans to do or not bother at all.

She's hyping a COVID-19 announcement during a skit, weeks after delaying her album which fans have been waiting for for years? :smh:

I love her, and usually defend her, but this sorta seems in poor taste. If that's actually what's happening.

I mean, you pretty much summed up my feeling about last night... I kinda refrained from commenting because of how confused I am. I have no clue what last night was about, I have no idea if this was a skit, if this was genuine, it was just confusing. Right now I'm in full "whatever" mode, I'm over this whole situation and the way it's being handled.

Is it possible that it was legit supposed to be Friday and Fallon mixed up and called her so she genuinely wasn't ready? I can't believe Gaga would do something so inappropriate like that so it HAS to be a mix up

I think it’s partly an April Fool’s skit, and partly to build hype. The call was definitely a scripted comedy piece.

3 points in and ready for more
