Releasing music now is NOT taking advantage of a crisis and there’s literally nothing wrong with giving people good content when they’re bored and stuck at home wanting something to entertain them, and she could’ve released an short film with it and made more impact than any small performance.

All these gestures of “I’m not gonna release my album because the time doesn’t feel right” is bullsh*t because we know damn well she’s worried about the album underperforming without proper promo, as she believes, but she had to make up the excuse and make it sound like it’s offensive to release music now. And ultimately no one from the general public really cares if she didn’t release an album to support medical teams (which is a laughable excuse, as there’s literally no correlation LOL). People will ultimately care if they music is good, and she missed a great opportunity.

i dont know but I'm gonna cry my heart out when this album gets released.

In my mind I think I will always remember it like the album that was delayed during this horrible time.

Plenty of people have pointed this out but releasing material is not taking attention/funds away from the relief - idk how to explain it more explicitly - there's no person out there who's going 'well, I COULD be helping people who are sick, but the Weeknd just dropped some music so screw the sick, Im gonna sit there and listen to his album on repeat a million times and don't do anything' 

On top of that, there are a lot of celebrities of various caliber doing things to help with the relief...

Idk why y'all are ok with OP's statement - it's actually pretty mean-spirited, and way too concerned with how Gaga's gonna be THE FACE and it will favor her career later cuz of... the pandemic... nice

Something about the way you've written this doesn't sit well with me. You're basically saying this pandemic and Gaga rallying behind as a voice of support is going to be good promo for when she drops the Chromatica album cycle. I'm sorry but Gaga donating resources and money to fight this is amazing. If you were rich it would be so easy to throw money at a disaster situation (should honestly be a given if you have millions stored away). I think the people who need to be appreciated are the front line workers. Stop making this about Gaga bc yikes.
